Geo Grinder combines incremental progression with roguelite structure, letting you break apart geometric enemies to gather resources and unlock upgrades across a sprawling tech tree. Each run permanently strengthens your character, creating a satisfying loop where you gradually become powerful enough to push further. Ideal for players who enjoy watching their capabilities expand over time while navigating fresh challenges with each attempt.

At the moment I wouldn't recommend it. I play a lot of incremental stuff so being short isn't a downside for me but it feels like there barely enough to drag it to the 2 hour mark, a lot of that time is just monotonous and given the environment you kinda just feel like you're trapped in Limbo. The progression feels ok in the beginning, but it snowballs to the point where it feels like you're getting a massive chunk of upgrades and still not really getting anywhere because you're so close to the end already and now you have to wait through all the waves again just to see a bit more of an improvement. The currency system is unbalanced, I never once felt like the 2nd and 3rd currencies required any amount of grinding, I always had way more than enough so their inclusion felt pointless. I made it to the final boss without half the weapons even unlocked, and yet still after buying them and the rest of the upgrades, the game is now just sitting there while the waves count down to the boss spawn, then having to move around to dodge for most of them since they'll still be able to kill you if you're not paying attention, and spending who knows how long waiting for the bosses to die. Most of the challenge comes from the ungodly amount of HP the bosses have each new tier until it feels like its taking almost 2 minutes of sitting there kiting one boss and praying you don''t get caught in a bad pattern that just sends you back to the first wave.

As for the weapons/abilities themselves, most of them also feel not helpful or even detrimental. They add to the clutter on the screen, the most offensive being the Orb weapon if you have the misfortune of fighting the Sphere boss at any point after like wave 6 because it can confuse your eyes with the boss and its attacks, being the same color and shape. The missiles seem like pillows, the bombs are barely even close enough to damage the boss sometimes, chain lightning doesn't make any sense being in the game at all with how quickly everything dies. I'm not even sure the Dash ability upgrades for damage even function, there's very little visual. If there was any indication of the damage they were doing to a boss that might make it feel less like most of the skill tree is a waste but at that point just play something else.

Overall I would say maybe the first hour of gameplay feels like you're making progress and then it just becomes a waiting game, and even for that first hour, a lot of it is front loaded in grinding out early upgrades. I gave the wave 10 boss a couple tries but it just has too much HP for me to care. Its not worth it for how damn long you have to sit there waiting to even attempt it.
