Depthloot combines roguelite dungeon runs with inventory management tension. You descend to gather treasure and battle enemies, but must extract successfully or lose all your plunder—creating constant risk-reward decisions about what to keep and when to escape. It appeals to players who enjoy extraction mechanics and the pressure of defending hard-won gains.
About this game
Depthloot is a compact dungeon extraction roguelite about greed, risk, and a backpack that’s always too small. Descend into the ruins, light up the darkness, loot treasures, battle enemies, and make it out alive - or everything you’ve found will be left behind in the depths.

Hi everyone! Since the last playtest, we’ve continued working on DepthLoot and wanted to briefly share what will change for the next test and the upcoming demo. New ProgressionProgression will become less linear, with upgrade choices that will let you develop your character in different ways and shape your playstyle. Two Playable CharactersYou’ll be able to play as two characters with their own unique traits, offering slightly different approaches to exploring the dungeon. New Biome and Room GenerationPart of a new biome will be introduced, and dungeon generation will become more varied — rooms will no longer be limited to simple rectangular shapes. Equipment BonusesWe’re adding a new equipment bonus system to make items more meaningful for your build and create more interesting combinations. Merchant ImprovementsWe’re reworking the merchant’s offers to make the available choices more useful and provide more interesting options for progression. Quality-of-Life ImprovementsWe’re also adding key rebinding, localization for multiple languages, and a number of other smaller improvements. And, of course, Bug FixesThe previous playtest gave us a lot of useful feedback and data, so we’re also fixing reported issues and continuing to polish the game. This isn’t the full list of changes — for now, we just wanted to give you a quick look at how DepthLoot has progressed since the last playtest. We’ll talk about some of these systems in more detail later. We’re currently planning the next playtest for the second half of September, but we’ll announce the exact dates a little later. See you in the depths!
Well, a huge thank you to everyone for participating! It was fun and extremely interesting to read the feedback, watch the playthroughs, and dive into discussions about the game! We gathered a lot of information from the survey and your feedback on Discord, and we managed to fix and improve a lot (though by no means everything) I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m happy with this playtest :D I hope you are, too! 158 people played in the playtest, with a median playtime of 40 minutes and a maximum playtime of 6 hours and 22 minutes (which is just wow, because as I understand it, that’s active playtime) After a short break, we’re continuing our work on adding the planned content and improving the current game mechanics, so I hope you’ll enjoy it next time!
Hi, there! The current playtest will end on Tuesday (July 31) around 8 p.m. (UTC) We've received a lot of feedback that we now need to go through! Next week, I'll try to describe the results of this playtest Thanks for playing, and... you still have a few days left to finish what you didn't get to :)
