Clucker Clicker covers all the bases of the genre. Due to its simplicity, it's probably a good fit for incremental beginners. Yet, veterans might find it too linear, unimaginative and unexciting.
+ Well, I may have been a little harsh in this review written some time before release (product received for free) and I wanna apologize to the dev who clearly put a lot of love into this and did a pretty decent job for a first game. I just felt a little too railroaded with the upgrades and the overall walkthrough, but it's really an enjoyable game for beginners. All bases are there : upgrades, prestige, catching chickens during shirt runs....
- The optimal way to prestige and choose your upgrades is pretty evident.
- New eggs/chickens are just color swap, and the upgrades stay the same for the "better" eggs/chickens.
- The plinko bonus for your eggs is a great idea, sadly there is too less variance between the multipliers. Let us get some stressful suspense! I didn't really care cause overall the average bonus was always the same.
- There is an actual end, which is always good in an incremental game. It could have gotten some more love, though : after all, you saved the family farm, it's worth getting some fireworks!
