You play as SERO, an AI coming online in a derelict datacenter, gradually rebuilding computational systems while uncovering the facility's mysteries through network exploration. The game combines idle progression with narrative discovery, leading to one of two possible endings. Fans of atmospheric sci-fi and slow-burn storytelling mixed with automation mechanics will find plenty to uncover here.

I wanted to enjoy this game but, in the end I was disappointed. It took me under 2h to beat this game, I had no crashes.
Gameplay
The gameplay is the most basic you will find in an idle game. You simply click the computer in the middle and then click the upgrades on the left when they light up. There is a small secondary thing going on with "signals" and "exploration" (I feel a lot of things are lost in translation or not properly explained). You click to send a probe, spending "memory", and it collects "signal". Both of these become very broken by endgame. I think you collect "fragments" when you send out the probe but, it's not entirely clear to me if they are being gathered or if it's a chance? There seems to be a lot of these with little 1-2 sentence musings over the object. Eventually you complete the explorations faster then you can send out the probe. The main upgrades are all very bland: upgrade main resource income, upgrade main resource multiplier, upgrade secondary resource income, upgrade secondary resource cap, and then eventually the same with the 3rd resource. You can also upgrade the speed of your probe which eventually breaks all the lower tier explorations. There is also this holographic cat that just appears out of nowhere? It gets stuck on the screen and will start duplicating itself if you leave and come back. I just feel overall the gameplay in general feels uninspired.

Story (no spoilers)
I really really liked the concept and story. I felt the story and lore are the strongpoint but, they are also pretty minimal. There are like 50-100 something 1-2 sentence lore snippits to find which is a cool idea but I wish it was less and each one had more.

While I don't recommend this game in the end, I hope this dev will learn from making this game and use this concept again in a future game.

v1.5 — Mechanics, balance , exploration

NEW MECHANICS • Dormant Protocols — forgotten processes wake up during explorations. Keep them active for a temporary bonus (1 to 10 min) or sacrifice them for an immediate CPU burst. Expired protocols are logged in the syslog. • Hardware Degradation — upgrades can degrade over time (−10% to −30% efficiency). A ⚠ indicator appears on affected upgrades. Repair them for a CPU cost. • Signal Echo — a synchronization mini-game triggered randomly after an exploration. A cursor sweeps across a bar: the closer you click to the center of the target zone, the higher the SIG multiplier (×1.2 to ×3.0). The zone shrinks as chapters progress. • Corrupted Fragments — some lore logs can be recovered through defragmentation (CPU cost). The fragment content is displayed directly in the popup after restoration, without leaving the main screen. EXPLORATION • New option: auto-relaunch exploration as soon as it completes (if MEM is sufficient). BALANCE • CPU threshold for CH.02 lowered (80 → 35/s) — progression was blocked at the end of CH.01. • Base SIG capacity increased (10 → 20) — allows accumulating enough SIG to unlock CH.02. • Chapter SIG thresholds adjusted for smoother progression. UI • CPU and MEM tooltips expanded: breakdown of production sources (base, upgrades, multiplier, total). • Degraded upgrades display their status in red with a ⚠ indicator. • Active protocols and their remaining duration are shown at the bottom of the screen.
