Great game to play while focusing on other things. Love the upgrades, and I could listen to the music for hours on end!
Hello all! It's been a little bit since I have posted an update, work got a bit busy. This update includes a Prestige system that lets you restart back to phase 1 with a substantial permanent upgrade. The feature meant as a thank you for those that have beat the game and want to keep playing with some progression to keep them going. There is no limit on the amount of times a player can prestige which honestly gets kind of fun and chaotic once you prestige a few times. I expect at some point it will take longer to buy all the blocks from the block machine while waiting for the animation to complete than it will take to earn to enough points to afford all the upgrades lol!Again, thank you to everyone that gave my first game a chance! Idle Block Breaker is the first game I have made and gotten to a publish stage with. I learned a new game engine, how to integrate with Steam, how to make a "fun" game, how to polish a game for release, and a little bit of marketing. Thankfully my next game will only consist of the hardest step, how to make a "fun" game. I priced this game at $5 hoping that the average player can at least get 5 hours of enjoyment out of it regardless of if they finish the game (the game itself has about 10-15 hours of content). I will continue to have this in mind when making any new games: I don't want just "x" amount of hours per dollar, I strive to have "x" amount of entertaining hours per dollar. One last thing, to all my wishlisters out there, Idle Block Breaker will be fully released RIGHT NOW haha. Good night all, fingers crossed the game doesn't implode while I am sleeping.
New UpgradesGame Clear after "x" blocks are left"x" percent chance to clear a game when any block is hitBalances/RemovalsChance To Explode Block Upgrade no longer chain explodes, previously anytime a block was "destroyed" it had a chance to explode. Chain explosions sometimes went crazy, so to balance out this nerf I have increased the explosion chance of the upgrade and added two more upgrades that relate to "board clears"Purple Thick Block no longer takes two hits (will be turned into a different block type)Piercing Upgrade was removed. This was only used for the Purple Thick Block and was able to pass through it in a single hit. Bug FixesCanon Multishot chance percentage now shows the correct percentage chances for current and next levelBuff vending machine button enables and disables appropriatelyWhen clearing out the Phase 4 machine the game no longer says "Phase 4 Unlocked" againLasers get deleted when its parent game loses a life or when game is restartingPaddle Speed Buff now applies to paddle when manually controlling itExplosion lag should no longer happenUpcoming Features2 new blocks (repurposing Purple Thick Block for one of them)1 new buffPrestige system: when reaching Phase 4 there will be a final upgrade called Prestige, when bought you will get to choose a permanent stat boost and then reset back to Phase 1.
Window Mode UpdateYou can now swap between Fullscreen and Windowed mode in the settings panel. Windowed Mode is resizable! You can also toggle the music on/off when out of focus of the game.
