Last Hope pairs tower defense with idle progression: evolve a roster of twelve towers to unlock synergies that multiply your damage output, then watch them automatically shred approaching zombie waves. The loop cycles between active play and passive income, making it well-suited for background sessions or leaderboard climbing. Fans of incremental games and tactical defense will find plenty of room to optimize tower combinations.

Update: Fantastic developer, and fantastic game potential. honestly i played it once thinking i wouldnt again but i decided to take the time to write down some issues i came across and share them and he fixed them extremely quickly.
for 4$ its a great deal for its buck and wont disappoint you to come back to once or twice. or as a idle game to keep on in the background for the leaderboards.
this is the devs first game ever, and im excited to see what else he can come up with
for 4$ and after a few things get fixed its a nice little game to play for a while.
theres some weird load bugs, where the zombies stopped spawning, but saving and loading fixed the issue 90% of the time.
its a bit clunky too, i beat all the bosses without touching them the first time, the trophy's are a bit confusing too initially.
but id recommend it if your looking for a autobattler to play for half a day, plus most of the issues will be fixed in a few weeks after this review probably maybe.
Hey everyone! I’ve just rolled out two major features to make jumping into the game smoother and a lot more rewarding: Revamped Tutorial Terminal: An interactive radio briefing system now greets you right from the start. It walks you through the core gameplay loop step by step—from manual Minigun controls to linking your first synergies in the reactor. It also teaches vital survival rules (like "Zombies killed by the energy shield drop NO Blood or EXP!") and prepares you for incoming Alpha Bosses. Tiered Quest HUD: A dynamic quest panel is now live on your screen, dishing out continuous rewards. It starts with quick, satisfying early-game milestones (like hunting 25 zombies or firing 200 rounds) and scales up naturally as your defenses grow. Completing quests showers your base with plenty of EXP, Blood, and Loot. Smart Quest Tracking: To keep your screen clutter-free and let you focus, the quest menu stays neatly tucked away as a minimized tab during the tutorial. The second you finish (or skip) the briefing, it smoothly pops open to show your next objectives. Have fun, and hold the line!
Major Update: Unleash the Mechanical GorillaAre you ready to rewrite the defense lines against the zombies? Our newest combat system, the Mechanical Gorilla, is finally live! How you configure this massive mechanical beast is entirely up to your tactical genius:Turn it into a terrifying gatekeeper that locks enemies into endless crowd-control (stuns) one after another,Or transform it into an unstoppable war god that slices thousands of zombies in half with devastating area damage!Featuring 12 unique reactor synergies, cross-tower interactions, and a versatile structure, this destructive power is ready to be unleashed.Watching mutant zombies struggle against this new nightmare is going to be incredible. So, which synergy will you try first? Let's hear your thoughts and tactics! ⚙️🍌💬 Your Feedback Matters Most!If you spot any bugs, missing pieces, or anything you'd like to see completely changed regarding the synergies of our Mechanical Gorilla, feel free to drop them in the patch notes section or the discussions board. Every piece of feedback you share is incredibly important and valuable to me for the development of the project. Have fun, everyone!
Hey everyone!I’ve been working on something a little different for the next update: the Mecha-Gorilla.This is the first unit in the game that isn’t just sitting in one place and shooting at the horde. The Gorilla actually gets dropped onto the map, patrols its assigned area, and gets right into the middle of the fight.Getting the movement to feel right took quite a bit of work. I wanted it to feel heavy without making it painfully slow, and the punches needed to have enough impact to actually sell the idea that this thing is basically a walking tank.So what does it do?Basic attacksIt patrols its area and attacks nearby zombies with quick punches. Every now and then it throws a much heavier haymaker that can send multiple enemies flying.Meteor SlamWhen too many zombies surround it, the Gorilla can jump into the air and slam back down onto the ground. It deals heavy AoE damage and knocks back and stuns anything that survives.Reactor mutationsThis is probably my favorite part. The Gorilla’s equipment changes depending on how you build your Reactor grid, so you can actually see your setup affecting the unit:Shoulder Gatling — Adds a small automated turret that targets enemies independently while the Gorilla is fighting.Sawblade Gauntlets — Adds heavy blades to its arms, giving its attacks a much more aggressive close-range focus.Rocket Thrusters — Boosters on its back activate when it charges enemies, making it faster and adding explosive impact to its punches.Elemental variants — Depending on the setup, it can leave magma behind, chain lightning through groups of zombies, or freeze enemies on impact. And there's one more thing...Colossus ProtocolIf you manage to get 3 Golems into the same setup, they enter a special overdrive state. They become much larger, their slam ability can be used extremely frequently, and they basically turn the frontline into a wall of metal. The core mechanics are already working. Right now I’m mostly focused on polishing the procedural animation...
