As it stands this game is worth the money and can be quite addicting quickly, the added feature of 24 hours of saved "time" when you log out makes you feel safe turning your computer off :3
The game lacks significant features in the end game but with an active dev team and regular updates I can see myself returning and playing this game regularly.
I write to you today to inform you of an amazingly entertaining game, but also offer you a grave warning. It started small at first. Just turn my chair and queue the next task. Now the Monotony consumes my every thought. During meetings at work I find myself dazed and unfocused - calculating how long until I need to swap from fishing trout to cooking trout in order to ensure optimal efficiency. I used to enjoy long talks with my wife. Today, I find myself begging for her stories to end such that I can start smelting more Adamantite Ingots.
As the bar slowly fills the top left corner of my crafting queue, I realize the truth made manifest in this wonderful creative work. Life itself, it would seem, is depended on one thing and one thing alone. Continuous improvement.
With clouded eyes and sweat glazed skin, I would submit this review and attach the following: All other games pale in comparison to the glory and majesty of Monotony IDLE. Play if only you are prepared to abandon all that doesn't progress you toward the ultimate tranquility and fulfilment found therein. Lay your life down bare at its doorstep.
I am not really into idle games, but this was the right price point so decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. This game is an absolute blast and a steal at this price. I just got to the first ascension and seeing more skills unlock and more stuff to do was a pleasant surprise. I can't wait to see where the devs take this game and I will be there every step of the way.
