Update 2.0 — Gems · CORE RUSH · Living Bosses · D80 Our biggest update since launch. Your existing save carries over as it is. New Mode — CORE RUSH: ENDLESS An endless mode you pick from the main menu. Every run starts with a single pickaxe and keeps going down. Breaking ore fills a gauge; each time it fills you pick 1 of 3 cards to build that run. Mining Drones and all five skills are unlocked through cards too. Armored, crystal, volatile and pressure ores appear, along with elite ores. A boss waits every 10 depths (60-second limit). From D70, Overdrive kicks in (score ×1.35) and a risk choice appears every 15 depths. Scores go to an online Steam leaderboard. The result screen shows your rank and the global board. Completely separate from the regular mode's progress and save. Regular-mode gems and upgrades don't apply in CORE RUSH, so everyone competes on the same terms. Relics → Gems Relics have become Gems. The Pickaxe, Mining Drone and four skill slots have 24 sockets in total, opening one by one as you go deeper. Gems come in three shapes: ◆ Method (changes how an attack works), ● Modulation (changes when it triggers) and ⬡ Amplify (raises the numbers). Each fits only its own socket shape. There are 65 gems so far. Grades go Chip → Fragment → Core → Singularity. Fuse 5 of a grade into 1 of the next, and you can choose which gem you get. Gems drop from ore. The center core that appears every 5 depths from D5 to D60 now lets you pick 1 of 3 Core-grade gems. Socketed gems can be removed with Extraction Tools. You start with 3 and earn more each time you reach a new deepest depth. Auto Place and per-gem locks (excluded from batch fusion) are supported. Your 12 relics carry over as Singularity gems with exactly the same numbers. Up to 3 Singularities can be equipped at once. You now run 4 of the 5 skills. If you don't choose, the skills you've invested in most are slotted first. Boss Overhaul — Living Bosses Every boss now moves around the arena — charging, stomping...
Combat Overhaul — Automation and Skill Cascades Multi-Skill Procs Removed the limit of one skill per attack. Every skill that succeeds its roll now fires at once. Mining Drones Overhauled Max drones 6 → 20 Drone attack interval 2.6s → 0.43s Drone damage increased (30% → 55% of player damage) All drones now join boss fights. Previously only one drone ever attacked a boss, no matter how many you owned. Each drone now rolls for skill procs individually. Drones hover over the ore they are mining and turn translucent while idle so they never block your view. Direct Attacks Attack speed up to 2.56x (was 2.03x) Attack radius can now grow up to 2x — previously it never scaled beyond your pickaxe tier. Direct damage multiplier 2.22x → 4.76x Continuous Attack — No More Click Spam With the Continuous Drive Control node, simply holding the left mouse button keeps attacking automatically at your attack speed. We moved this node further in toward the centre of the tree and cut its price from 216,000 to 18,000 Gold, so you can stop spam-clicking far earlier. Skills Skill range growth added — blast radius, chain distance, pierce width and beam width up to 1.69x Proc rates increased — Quantum Drill 4% / Core Explosion 5% / Arc Storm 7% / Mining Pulse 4% / Orbital Laser 1% Skill impact effects now linger longer and fade out smoothly. Reworked Dead Mechanics Cascade Fracture (formerly Overkill) — excess damage now carries over undiminished and keeps chaining with every kill. Impact Charge (formerly Momentum) — every 6th hit charges your next strike for up to 4.3x damage and 2x radius. Works on bosses too. POWER branch redesigned so deeper nodes are genuinely stronger, and the empty mid-game stretch has been filled in. The full release will take a few more days, so we have put the fix on a beta branch first. How to get it Right-click the game in your library, then choose Properties Go to Betas and select hotfix from the list It will update automatically Your save is kept, and you can switch back to the default branch at any time.
