Hey everyone! After a lot of hard work behind the scenes, the free demo for UFO98 is officially live on Steam! I've put a lot of care into refining the overall experience for this release. Here is a look at what’s inside: Reworked UI & UX: Signal processing and system navigation are now far more intuitive and responsive.Refined Progression & Balance: Fine-tuned the incremental mechanics to keep the pacing rewarding from start to finish.Automation Systems & Locked Devices: I'm actively working on expanding the automation systems. You'll notice the tab in the interface, but it will remain locked in this demo alongside certain hardware devices while their balance is fully overhauled for the full release.Enhanced Visuals & Audio: Upgraded retro desktop visual effects and added immersive sound design to dial up the mystery.Streamlined Onboarding: Clearer guidance at the start so you can jump right into decrypting signals and leaking files without friction.System Optimizations: Numerous bug fixes, performance tweaks, and subtle quality-of-life additions.I've also uploaded a fresh demo trailer to the Steam page to showcase the atmosphere and core mechanics in action! This demo covers the core gameplay loop and delivers roughly 45 minutes of engaging content as you dig through classified files and uncover extraterrestrial secrets. We are aiming for a full release in December 2026. If you like what you play, please consider adding UFO98 to your Steam Wishlist. It helps immensely as an indie developer! I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any bugs you run into. Feel free to leave a comment below or join the discussion on our Discord. Hope you enjoy diving into the conspiracies!
