Bone Idle tasks you with excavating graveyards and deploying skeleton workers to harvest bones across 18 floating stages. The loop revolves around hiring staff to automate collection, defeating stage guardians for permanent upgrades, and performing a prestige-style ritual that grows a persistent progression tree. Offline gains ensure your workforce stays productive between sessions, making it ideal for players who enjoy idle mechanics with tangible long-term advancement.

Latest updates

Update 1.0.4: Halloween comes to the graveyard

Halloween From October 24 to November 7, following your computer's date, carved pumpkins sit on the edge of every zone. They stay dark while a zone is locked, and light up with its lanterns when you unlock it. Purely decorative. Your progress, production and saves are unchanged. After November 7 they leave on their own: no new update needed. Thanks for playing, and thanks for all your feedback! skollheim

Update 1.0.3: a livelier first hour

A livelier first hour Until the Titan awakens, each click on a grave is worth at least 15% of your bones per second. If you click, the first act goes noticeably faster. If you let the game run on its own, nothing changes. Automatic clicks are not affected. The bonus ends once the Titan awakens. Steam review After two hours of play, a "Steam review" line appears in Options > Game. It opens the Steam review page in the overlay, or in your browser. A single reminder is shown, only once. There is no reward: every honest review helps, positive or negative. Thanks for playing, and thanks for all your feedback! skollheim

Update 1.0.2: main menu with 3 save slots

New main menu The game now opens on a main menu with three save slots. Your current game is in slot 1. There is nothing to do and nothing is lost. Each slot shows its realm, bones, play time and when you last played. Start a new game in an empty slot at any time. Your other games stay untouched. Slots 2 and 3 are saved to Steam Cloud, just like slot 1. Options The Options window has been redesigned with tabs. A new "Back to main menu" button lets you switch slots during a game. The "Copy the save" and "Paste a save" buttons have been removed. Ritual tree Tooltips now highlight key words and numbers: current effect, next level and missing runes. Thanks for playing, and thanks for all your feedback! skollheim
