Hit the Anvil is an incremental crafting game where you hammer items into existence, sell them for currency, and reinvest profits into forge upgrades. Unlock one of four classes—each with distinct screen-filling abilities—to multiply your output and automatically enhance equipment through gems, charms, and puzzle-solving. Fans of resource loops with character progression and pixel art aesthetics will find a satisfying grind.

Hit the Anvil free demo is out now

The free demo of Hit the Anvil is live on Steam. Hammer the anvil, forge gear, sell it for gold and pour it back into your forge. The demo covers the whole forging loop: anvil upgrades, the mastery tree, gems, charms and the puzzle collection, right up to the point of class advancement. Your progress saves automatically. What the full game adds The full game continues from there with four classes, each with skills that sweep across the whole workshop and reinforce every piece of gear at once: Swordmaster – wide cleaves that strike everything in their path Mage – chain lightning and meteors that set off chain reactions across your loot Necromancer – weapon spirits that roam the forge and build to a spectral surge Shadow Rogue – shadow doubles that strike from everywhere at once Hit the Anvil will also be part of Steam Next Fest starting October 19. If the demo clicks for you, a wishlist is the biggest help right now and gets you a notification on launch day. Bugs or feedback? Post in the community hub discussions. I read everything. Thanks for playing, 7degree3
