New The main menu comes alive at night: rain runs down the office windows, the city's lights go on and off, and behind the menu your models type, think and doze at their desks. Reduce motion (Settings > Display) keeps it still. Clicking outside any popup now closes it, the same as pressing Esc. The title you win from objectives left the top bar, where it pushed the clock onto a second line; it now shows beside the Stats heading, and you still pick it on the Objectives screen. Removed the thin strip under your cash total that teased your next model, office or funding round; that progress still shows in the Models tab, the city map and funding rounds. The night shift keeps working while you're in another window. Minimizing the game or switching to another app or tab no longer opens the pause menu, and your office keeps earning the whole time. The game still pauses when the controller you are playing with disconnects. New song: Lilac, by mister mello and licensed to us, is now the default music. It plays first, then the music player goes on through the other tracks In order. If you never changed the music, you hear it from your next visit; to get the day and night music back, pick Follow the shift in Settings > Sound. Fixes The Shop's Clicking, Automation and Fans tabs are regrouped: Clicking keeps only your own clicks, Automation now also holds the Auto-clicker, and Fans is renamed Cooling, with Cold hands moved in alongside the fans and the office battery. The next model waiting at the top of Models now shows a big percent and how much is left to earn. Lilac's music credit now names its real artist, mister mello, and shows up in the ending credits too.
Eight new languages Night Shift now speaks Simplified Chinese, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Latin American Spanish. The whole game is translated: menus, tips, every upgrade and objective, and what the models say (Clawed's haiku included). Pick one in Settings > Display > Language, or leave it on Automatic to follow your Steam language. New Main menu: Continue, New game, Load save (three save slots, your backups and import), Settings and What's new. Press Esc or Start in game to pause, return to the menu or quit; both save first. Music player: a small strip at the top right with previous, play/pause and next, plus seven new tracks (lofi, synthwave, piano, jazz and chill electronic). Settings > Sound lists every track, In order or on Shuffle. A controller's right stick click skips to the next track. Controls: Settings > Controls lets you change the key or button for any action. Nintendo Switch controllers show their own buttons. Display: UI scale, text size (Normal, Large, Larger) and a frame rate limit (60 or 30 FPS saves battery). Handy on a Steam Deck. What's new: a panel shows what changed after each update. Reopen it from Settings > Saves & support. Fixes Esc and a controller's B go back one screen at a time, and the game stays paused while Settings is open. Numbers use your language's decimal separator, and counts over a thousand read 1,000 everywhere. Controller tips show the button to press in every language, and button names read out in your language for screen readers. The Manager bot card now says what it really does: fans draw 35% less power. The Airflow level 10 objective is called Wind tunnel instead of a second Server room. Praise and scolding in messages to your models work in every language. The Steam discussions link in Settings is easy to read, and the Credits name every font.
