When I found this game I saw it got a lot of negative reviews, as it is a PAY2WIN game... I ignored all the reviews and started playing... now after almost 140 hours of playing this game, I must say, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, its not a free game.
I reached lvl 30 and now I can't buy new land for my farm with in game credits, you need gold bars wich cost real money, so after a while you can't play this game if you dont pay real money... This is the moment when I will stop playing and I hope you do aswell and dont do like me, ignore all the negative reviews.. there is a moment when if you dont top up real money you cant play anymore, because the devs limit your game.

Who would have thought it? The next pay to win (P2W) "simulation" garbage. Or was it garbage simulation? Can allign itself into the thousands of worthless games, built around an item/gold/money/currency shop. Actually almost EVERYTHING costs gold bars, already when beginning, and for gold bars you need to pay money. Lots of it. You wish to build a house faster? GOLD! You wish to fertilize a field? GOLD! You wish to fertilze multiple fields? MOAR GOLD! You wish to buy animals, treat animals, farm animals, for their stuff? GOLD! GOLD! GOLD!
Only alternative to investing real money, is to wait. For hours, or later, I suppose, even days.
Do yourself a favor: if you like games like this, and herby I mean games of this genre, because no one likes crap build around a money shop, buy for a few bucks Stardew Valley. You will not only have lots more of content, but also relationships, monster mashing, cute sprites and a game made with love and heart blood, not with greed, like this piece of work here.
This game would only appeal to you, if you have already played anything worth playing, and if, at the same time, you don't know what to do with all your money.

Practically all the negative reviews are simply a result of this game being freemium, meaning that while the game is free, there is also the additional option of paying for premium content with real money to save time, or to be given additional perks. While a lot of people find the constant obtrusive reminder that comes along with freemium games irritating, it is not essential in the being able to play or complete.

The German developer http://company.upjers.com/en/ has been in the industry since 2006 building their numerous browser game content over the years and increasing their personnel from three people to well over 100. They are hardly naive to what monetarization model works for both the casual gamer that wants to play at their own leisure and actually enjoys the challenge of being able to meet long term obstacles through patience, self-control and strategy, or on the other hand, generous whales that have massive reserves of money and like to spend frivolously.

While other companies have undoubtedly caused incomprehensible damage to the freemium industry by moving on quickly within a year or two and deleting all content and support to previous games, forcing customers that spent large amounts of money and time, to realise that they were often lulled into a false sense of ownership and have nothing to show for it. Causing more and more gamers to be aware of such marketing ploys in future. Meanwhile, companies like ‘upjers’ who heavily rely on customer satisfaction have from set go been interested in maintaining a long term planning relationship with their gaming products and customers, trying to always balance and concrete a firm reliable reputation in a market which is often topsy-turvy. Optimized, long term browser game, sustainable products is what they are all about.

There are several factors that I really like about this game...

1) The developer has placed some really rewarding daily features. 4 daily reward card collections, a treasure chest which keeps rewarding you with unique items on a frequent basis and additional reward cards depending on how many of your friend’s farms you quickly attend to. I was pleasantly surprised at how many gold items I was given by these perks and it immediately placed the game and developers in a positive light.

2) There are many ways to play the game. While I chose mainly to follow the guided outlines of the main tasks I quickly began to notice that most of my friends were playing it differently and were doing just as well, if not better. Some didn't even worry about a farm, but chose to make a tree plantation instead, others turned their vegetable farm into a massive chicken farm. Some created a petting zoo instead of a farm at all.

3) The amount of content is a clear demonstration that the developers have a long standing commitment to this product. From guild choices, hundreds of rewarding in game achievements to attend with, contests, premium long term goals and obstacles for customers to work at, dozens of different mechanics, strategies and tricks needing to be mastered.

Most who have given this a negative review have spent very little time on it, quickly judging it at a moment’s notice as soon as they hit the formidable obstacle from level 5. Their biggest problem is that they probably wasted all their money on decoration side quests and had no cash reserve left for the main level quests. Lucky for me I quickly worked out what was happening, but even I struggled to make level 10 in time and unfortunately missed out on a huge reward. So, to help people who like this sort of thing and want to really give it a good go, here are a few tips that will really help you...

* Ignore the quests on the left hand side. Only the quests found in the envelope on the left hand side of your screen should be your main focus.
* In store you can buy ‘remove paths’. Remove as many of the paths as you can as this is useless unproductive ground.
* When making an animal pen give yourself enough space for a 2x2 square. This allows you to fit all the perks needed for successful breeding in a pen, as well as the most amount of animals.

There are a lot more tricks, but those three tips mentioned above will help you make quick steady advancement.

In final a freemium game where the roosters lay eggs and the bulls produce milk. You will be constantly bombarded with marketing techniques which will annoy many gamers. Very tough for gamers who make careless planning decisions, but for the patient, contemplating strategist it might be a long time entertaining, but always needy ... friend.
