Having just finished in a little under three hours, I can say I recommend it. That said, know that it very much emulates the feel and gameplay of late 90's/early 00's "tycoon" games, both good and game. There is clear progression, which is readily accessible, but without much nuance for which crop is better. Newer crops are worth more, plain and simple. There are virtually no QoL of features, barring the animation you eventually unlock. Once you do, however, thats it. There is no more. Replacing crops is done tile by tile, no batch selecting available. Since you need hundreds of crops per barn(?)load, and you need to do these barnloads many times, it is an exercise in tedium. I pushed through purely to complete the achievements, but without those I simply would have put the game down. Its been 20 years since this style of play, and the QoL was the most important part of that growth. If I could batch select things, had any meaningful automation, etc., the game would probably have been an hour.

About This Game
The ocean took it all… now take it back! In this short semi-idle island builder you’ll resurface fertile farmland - tile by tile. As you plant, harvest and expand you’ll obtain helping hands and discover what else lies below the surface.

This game is unironically what ive been looking for in an indie game forever lmfao. Ive been dying for a small village builder with no real end goal other than just "Do the things, look at the cute stuff, play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game" 10/10 Please keep updating this gem <3 <received for free from a friend whom I begged for a 4 dollar game and then promptly paid the next day> EDIT: I've bugged my game out, All villager homes cost 0 to create, The game will actually crash (32gb of ram Ryzen 5 3600) at around 900 villagers running around. Don't ask me how I got here
Refarm is not a particularly well thought out game. It's pretty, and starts off extremely strong. But the end is a painful slog, with nothing to do but wait for the berries to max out so I can 100% the game. Positives: - The actual graphics are really cute, and I like how easy it is to place blocks and buy and sell crops. - I like how the developer makes a new update every month and does improve the game somewhat each time. For example, the latest update made higher tier berries grow faster! - I like the fact that you can hold down left click to harvest the crops instead of spam clicking. Mixed: - There is no music. The reason this is mixed, is because no music is better than one track that's, like 3 minutes long, and plays on loop. - Some people may appreciate the fact that the map is quite small, so they know the area they're working with. Others may not. Negatives: - The end "battle" isn't a battle at all. - You can only hold 999 max crops. This is inconvenient. - The endgame is just idle until your berries max out. This is not fun in the slightest. - There's no research or upgrade system. If you could spend coins on making crops and berries grow faster the gameplay would improve significantly. - There's no way to delete workers if you have too many. - There is a significant lack of buildings. We have two. One spawns workers, the other gives the green currency. - Horrible, dull, slog to get to 999+ green currency three times to unlock the black hole. Why is the black hole even in the game? - You can count the number of sound effects on one hand. There's not many, and it's horrible to listen to after awhile. 3/10: Tedious and extremely dull, lack of music and has poor sound effects. It has a few positives, such as nice graphics and a great first 20-30 minutes or so and the developer being active. But I wouldn't bother buying this. I did not enjoy 100% this at all.
