Bug Fixes (v2.6.4) Inscribed gear stat bonuses (Attack, Strength, Defense, HP) were not reflected in the Combat page stat display, Dungeon stat preview, or HP bar calculations. All UI now correctly accounts for inscription bonuses. Ability-generated combat buffs (e.g. Deploy Beacon, Phase Shift, Aether Skin) displayed raw internal IDs in the buff bar instead of proper ability names and descriptions. Dryona Surge Event and Salvage Sweep timed quests awarded a broken placeholder item. They now correctly reward Lumicrystal Gems. Quality of Life (v2.6.5) "Needs:" material tags on skill task cards now show a tooltip on hover with item info, inventory count, and the source task that produces that item (e.g. "Source: Fish Shrimp (Fishing)"). Clicking a linked material tag navigates directly to the source skill page and scrolls to the producing task card -- no more hunting for where an ingredient comes from! Estate page material requirements (housing upgrades, room builds, room upgrades) have the same tooltip and click-to-navigate behavior. Other Skill page backgrounds added for Brewing, Cooking, Lapidary, and Melding. Everyone in the Discord has been so helpful. Upgrade to go lang 1.26.3. Upgrade to ebiten 2.9.9. Android: Improve reliability and clarity when google cloud save is extremely slow or cannot be reached on startup. Militia ship type is now correctly categorized as a civilian ship (previously, it was mistakenly a 'flagship'). Fix bug where some buildings granted you the wrong amount of resources when you built them with the 'start with building' prestige abilities. Bugfix for 'json: unsupported value: NaN' errors seen by some users. Fix an old bug where offline calculations can rarely spin forever. Fix bug where the new subverter boss was supposed to have reduced damage taken from offensive ships, but didn't. General safety guard rails for when values get extremely high in the very late game.
Two quick patches! The first squashes some Inscription bugs, and the second adds new visual polish to production skills. Inscription Fixes (v2.6.2) Inscribed items now display correctly when equipped. Previously, equipping an inscribed weapon or armor piece would make it appear as an empty slot in the Equipment panel - even though the stats were still active. Now you'll see the item name, base stats, and the inscription bonus in blue. Right-click equip works for inscribed items. Right-clicking an inscribed item in your inventory now correctly equips the enhanced version instead of a plain copy. Equipment panel shows inscription bonuses. When you have an inscribed item equipped, its bonus (e.g. +5 Precision) now appears in blue text below the base stats. Scroll names are now class-neutral. "Scroll of Attack" is now "Scroll of Power" and "Scroll of Strength" is now "Scroll of Might". The actual stat bonuses still map to your class labels (Precision, Dexterity, Focus, etc.). Inscription notifications cleaned up. The toast no longer incorrectly shows "RARE DROP!" and stat bonuses no longer display a double "+" symbol. Visual Polish (v2.6.3) New skill page backgrounds for Ash Craft, Blacksmithing, and Light Crafting. More production and support skill backgrounds coming soon! With basic programming skills (or vibe-coding), you can program your own animation in an HTML file and include it in a question. The important part is reacting to the game pause event and stopping the animation, as well as reporting when it has finished.Host comments (hidden from players) are now supported — they will become available after the editor update.The room style has been slightly adjusted — unnecessary colors have been removed.

Fixed a bug where weird window sizes or monitor setups could cause text to render off screen. Fixed a bug where the game could recognise all routines being purchased late. Previously, randomly acquiring the secret routine would instead give you study tactics, even if you already had it. Now it will instead give you one you don't have.

Hey everyone, I'm currently testing out a change to how game modes work in the game. The "passive mode" setting is still going to be the default for new players, so there shouldn't be a change for anyone onboarding in the game. But if you've played already and are looking for a little more challenge or changes to how the game works, read on!Game ModesIn the game settings ('game settings' button on faction select for a new game), I've changed the 'Passive Mode: On/Off" button to be a game mode button with three options now.Passive:- This is still the default, hostile planets don't attack you, plays more like an idle game. You can walk away any time without pausing and there's no risk to your progressActive:- Hostile planets have their original attack timers that slowly tick up, and will attack an adjacent (non-home) planet and flip it to hostile. This works the same as before but the strength of the planet remaining will be about 1/3rd of the attacking planet which was originally bugged and only being set to 2 regardless of attackChallenge:- Some players have requested something a bit more challenging out of active mode. This setting is experimental right now and likely to change (along with some new UI to better explain modes coming soon). Details below.What is Challenge Mode?Challenge mode is basically the same as Active mode with two key changes. "Auto Explore" automation is on by default and cannot be toggled off once automation is available to the player. This means turtling and building fleet with no hostiles on board is much harder to do, there will almost always be hostiles preparing attacks... unless you strategically enclose your empire, which felt like fun emergent gameplay so it's staying for now.Additionally, every galactic jump increases the speed with which hostile planets will attack you. The level of difficulty is probably still a bit too low for seasoned players, but I'll be making some changes to how new games are configured (with a new game settin...
