# Update Notes - June 8, 2026

This update focuses on smoother progression, clearer upgrade information, more reliable achievements, stronger UI polish, and new music.

## Gameplay And Progression

New Building: Blood Launcher
- Launches "blood hunks" into the air which explode on hitting the ground into small "blood fragments."
New Unit: Omni-gatherer
- These flying units will gather "blood fragments" scattered throughout the map.
New Unit: Burrower
- These units will dig into the planet's flesh and return with blood hunks and toss them into the air.
New Unit: Blood Balloon
- These units will conjure up new blood hunks from the planet's atmosphere and toss them to the surface below.
- Spread blood balloons across wider sky lanes so they fill the play space more naturally.
- Fixed **Armored Before Ascension** so it can unlock correctly.
- Fixed late-stage progression blockers involving chitin production and courage storage limits.
- Added unit count strips to building panels so you can quickly see which units you own and how many.
- Updated Page Beetle text to clearly mention its courage cap increase.

## Adventure Portal

- Reworked the Adventure Portal layout so adventure choices, portal status, expedition prep, and Page Beetle training are easier to scan together.
- Improved adventure tooltips with clearer cost and reward formatting.

## Upgrades And Prestige

- Added current-to-next value previews for purchasable upgrades, adventure effects, and prestige upgrades.
- Color-coded upgrade value changes so improvements are easier to compare before buying.
- Clarified percentage-based upgrade text so previously hidden or ambiguous values are now explicit.
- Updated maxed prestige messaging so the prestige bar explains when no more prestige points can be gained.
- Improved post-reset prestige progress text so capped prestige gain is clearer after your first reset.
- Widow's nest is now a prestige upgrade. The values were buffed to make synergies more powerful.

## Achievements

- Timed achievements now track each prestige run separately instead of using total save or session time.
- Updated **Hesitation** to match its intended behavior: open the Portal panel, wait 60 seconds, then start an adventure.
- Updated **The Patient Colony** to track manual Bloodsucker purchases instead of free grants.
- Marked Boss 1 achievements that cannot be completed in the demo as full-version-only while demo caps are active.

## Panels, Input, And Readability

- Added a short mouse-only grace window around building panels so panel interactions feel less brittle.
- Blocked world clicks from passing through active UI panels.
- Fixed localized Andorra UI overflow across more text-heavy languages.
- Added broader localization checks to catch future UI overflow issues.

## Scrolling And Visual Polish

- Improved scroll panel clipping so text, sprites, rows, and panel edges stay cleanly inside their intended areas.
- Fixed scroll clipping behavior when panels render through render targets.
- Tightened bottom-edge clipping on Andorra scroll panels.
- Improved pit scroll row clipping so rows stay visually behind panel edges instead of bleeding through.

## Audio

- Added new music tracks:
- **Colorless Aura**
- **Immersed**
- **Magic Scout - Manor**
- **Ethereal Relaxation**
- **Magic Scout - Cottages**
- **Sincerely**
- Reserved **Ethereal Relaxation** for the prestige screen.
- Added the other new tracks to the main game playlist rotation.
- Updated music credits for the new Incompetech tracks.

## Performance And Stability

- Capped native desktop FPS by default for more consistent performance.
- Added additional coverage around achievements, progression, UI layout, input blocking, scroll clipping, prestige behavior, localization, and performance.

- A bunch of other things I forgot

Bux Fixes:
- Fixed a bunch of typos
- Fixed bug where buying max chip researches crashes the game
- Fixed bug where cutscenes don't pause battles
- Fixed several rounding and floating-point errors
- A bunch of other things I forgot.

Version v0.1.50

A large round of improvements driven by player feedback since the beta.

- **New Graphics** — main character and enemy redesigned with movement and action animations.
- **Character and Stats screen** — die and rebirth replaced by a character button with cosmetic options, stats and maths, and still the option to manually die
- **Removed mastery hardcap** - it's now a softcap of increasing xp penalty to encourage rebirth
- **Idle progression** - game now continues to progress even when idled/out of focus
- **Never done** - many small bugfixes and UX improvements
