​Hi everyone, we have a new update.


First of all a new building, the Widow's Nest.

It creates spiders who cast webs between certain buildings and creates synergies.

​​You can buy 5 types of upgrades from it, but you'll have to play to find out!


Progression & Guidance

- Improved early-game pacing, progression flow, and objective guidance.
- Fixed the Chitin Weaver objective so buying chitin units completes the task correctly.
- Added clearer objective completion feedback, including a success sound.
- Added a Portal training helper callout.
- Made Page training speed up expeditions.
- Improved demo save resilience and progression pacing.

Achievements

- Expanded the achievement set to 44 total achievements.
- Added new progression, economy, and Portal achievements, including Second Skin, Shell Has Purpose, Meat Learns to Dig, No Dead Tissue, First Page, First Knight, Expeditionary Organism, They Came Back Changed, and No Wasted Shell.
- Improved achievement toasts and panel layering so they behave better with other UI.

Widow’s Nest

- Added Widow’s Nest synergies and spider web behavior.
- Wired Widow’s Nest synergies into Memory, Ether, Courage, adventure speed, and related systems.

Web Saves & Newgrounds

- Added Newgrounds cloud save support for web builds.
- Added Newgrounds scoreboard sync with a combined progress score.
- Added save UI text showing when cloud sync last succeeded.
- Improved web save recovery checkpoints so crashes and resets have better recovery paths.

UI, Feedback & Polish

- Added a wishlist button pulse when the tumor grows.
- Clarified Ether, geothermal, and CTA text across supported languages.
- Fixed achievement text bleeding into the tutorial box.
- Fixed achievement toast and CTA layering issues.
- Added suf0o0 to the early tester credits.

Performance & Stability

- Improved performance when UI panels are open by caching objective layout and completion work.
- Reduced likely audio popping from bursty combat sound effects.
- Improved Portal diagnostics for blocked or failed expedition attempts.
