Hidden Rabbit is a free hidden-object game where you search for 55 rabbits scattered across a theme park's hand-drawn environments. With a hint system that reveals general locations rather than exact positions, the hunt tests your pattern recognition as much as your observation skills. It's a brief, low-commitment experience suited to players who enjoy casual puzzle games during a coffee break.

It's free, but also testing your imagination more than your eyes...

With Easter around the corner, I was craving a cute little bunny hunt, but this wasn’t it. It looks cute at first glance, but the whole experience feels so limited! Took me about 11 minutes to hit 100%, and most of that was squinting at shapes wondering if they were supposed to be rabbits. To its credit, there are 55 bunnies to find and the game is free, so it’s easy to jump into. The art is cute, there’s a hint system that highlights a very small area without affecting achievements, and you get the usual options like fullscreen, sound sliders, and even a (slow but working) zoom. Achievements follow normal progression too, even if there are, well, a lot of them.

But there are too many issues for it to be worth the said 11 minutes. First, the resolution doesn’t adapt automatically, and the game straight-up crashed on launch for me (I had to reboot and tweak settings to make it behave). Then there’s the big one: more than half of the “bunnies” don’t actually look like bunnies. Many are just tiny shapes, rough outlines, or barely visible lines, so instead of searching cleverly placed critters, you’re basically scanning for anything that might count. Add one achievement per bunny (hello clutter), and it quickly feels more like a quick achievement grab than a satisfying hidden object game. Might be worth a look depending on what you want to get out of this, but if it's hidden object fun, look elsewhere.

As Easter is just around the corner, one could easily expect the release of such a puzzle game. Naturally, we have rabbits (instead of cats) to look for in this completely free hidden object game. For some reason, we are to look for 55 rabbits (instead of the usual 100 as it is often customary in such games).

The look is as simplistic as one would expect. When starting a new game we need to click on an icon showing the Roman numeral I. It is as if they were planning to add multiple levels but eventually decided to just release one. Or perhaps there will be a paid DLC added later and this menu serves the purpose of selecting between all different levels available.

What about the difficulty? Looking for rabbits can become pretty annoying. Some are very easy to spot while others do not look like animals just very simple drawings. The long ears are the tell signs but the animals are often next to other (different) animals so our clicks will often be a mistake. The game employs an annoying beep sound effect when this happens. It is an interesting, but unnecessary feature, in my opinion. It just convinces us to use the hint function which encircles a smaller area to help with the search. It does not have any cooldowns anyway (and its use is unlimited).

I had mixed feelings when playing Hidden Rabbit. It is short and easy to achieve 100% completion but the beep sound effect can annoy some and made them uninstall.

Hidden Rabbit is a pretty simple and quick single-level free game. Some of the rabbits don't look a lot like rabbits, but they aren't too tricky to find. There's a hint system with a cooldown; it points out the general location of a rabbit but doesn't point you exactly where the rabbit is.

I don't love the art style, but for a quick free game, it was fun enough.
