Real VR Fishing offers relaxing angling across dozens of scenic environments with a large roster of fish species to catch. The game delivers solid fishing mechanics in VR, but the PC version suffers from significant neglect—it lags nearly two years behind updates available on Quest, with controller compatibility issues that sometimes take months to resolve. Best suited for Quest headset owners seeking a peaceful fishing experience.

BUYER BEWARE: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON ANYTHING BUT A LINKED QUEST!!! IF YOU HAVE AN INDEX OR A VIVE OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU CANNOT PLAY!
I don't understand why it's so hard to keep both versions of this game up to date.
PCVR gets no updates, Quest has had multiple updates AND DLC since the release.
It's a good fishing game but it's dead on PCVR unfortunately. Devs totally abandoned it.
UPDATE: THEY UPDATED IT. TOO BAD IT ONLY WORKS FOR QUEST CONTROLLERS. DEV IS PEDDLING LIES DO NOT BUY.
Justin Lang, time and time again, promising updates, never delivers DO NOT BUY THIS IS NOT SUPPORTED ON STEAM. INDEX DOESNT WORK, WE DON'T GET UPDATES ITS A MONEY GRAB SCAM
Played for 8 hours and i was very satisfied by the game. Now it got updated and all inputs from index controllers don't work. Like, i can't even go past welcome message. Don't buy this game if you're not questie UPD. New content update, AND INDEX INPUTS ARE STILL BROKEN. Are you smoking crack there? UPD2. They fixed the input system. Only took them like what, 4, maybe 5 months?
This game advertises as supporting the HTC Vive and Valve Index controls but please be advised that this is actually false advertising and don't work at all anymore. You start the game and the controllers don't respond to input so you cannot play the game at all in its current state. The controls (at least for the HTC Vive as that's what we were using) stopped working since their last main patch to the game and has been in this state for the best part of a month. There have been other users mentioning this for the Index as well so looks like they have the same issue too.
The devs have not been in a rush to resolve this (this has been ongoing since the start of December) and there has been no commitment from them as to when this might actually be sorted out (which is unfortunate as I bought the games DLCs for a family member who wanted them for Christmas and now they can't play it). Apparently you can change your controllers bindings to get around this but if the community can find a work around why can't the devs?
Also worth mentioning, this game was missing content that they were previously offering to the Quest headset for the best part of a year. It was very behind the Quest version of the game for a long time and it was when the missing DLCs were added during a patch that this issue occured (which is funny because in the patch notes the team apologised and said they were going to support the steam version better in future! Funny way of showing that....) Buyers beware of this game and this development team!
