Overall a pretty interesting game. It's not very long, but it's priced accordingly. You can finish the game in five minutes if you only play it once, as each playthrough is only five minutes long before your heart gives out. But you are intended to playthrough multiple times and choose your decisions according to what you would see as leading to the best outcome for the city.
If you don't like stress I wouldn't particularly recommend it, while it isn't incredibly stressful, the constant need to steady your heartbeat and the slow reading dialogue make a pretty suspenseful experience. My biggest complaint really is just the quality of the English translation, as there are several lines of dialogue that are entirely untranslated. Not that big of a deal, but one of them is one of the decisions you have to make, and unless I am able to translate on the fly, it is a decision I have to make blind.
It's an incredibly short game, but it's fairly enjoyable. If it looks interesting, it's a dollar, so you might find it worth it to check out.

Edit: Since my original review they have fixed the problem of one of the decisions being untranslated. Which means that other than some minor text, everything is able to be read in English, so the translation should now have no impact on the direct playability of the game.

Despite being a really short game, I like this one.

Your artificial heart gives you just enough time to answer your secretary's questions before it gives out, and depending on your answers, you can get a handful of different endings that either save or doom your city. The main goal is to stop the Coro- sorry, *Prion* virus from spreading, but you can get some interesting different final results based on your choices. Aside from answering questions, the gameplay is mostly rhythm-based, pumping your heart in time to the beat of the music to stay alive just a few more minutes. After a while this intensifies and the meter starts draining faster, and if you hit 0%, it's game over and back to the beginning.

The Heartbeat is a good game to try different options and see what happens, and it helps that it has a nice cyberpunk aesthetic and the important text is fully translated into English as well. There are some mistakes in the spelling/grammar, but that's not a big deal. At only a dollar, I'd definitely recommend this game if you think you'd replay it.
