Influence puts you in control of a civilization's moral compass through constant clicking, determining whether humanity advances toward enlightenment or descends into chaos. The game automates itself via Fjord, a desktop pet that taps independently while you're away, letting progress continue offline. With branching narrative paths and multiple endings tied to your ideological choices, each playthrough shifts based on how you've steered society.

A really solid tapper. The balance isn't implemented in the best way right now (hopefully they'll fix it down the line), but it's still engaging to respond to events and think them over. The dilemmas you run into are unconventional — stuff I hadn't really thought about before, which is a nice touch. Early on they barely affect how the game plays out, but with each era their impact grows stronger.

On top of that, from what I gathered, depending on what you chose in an event, the world later sends you news about it, which is also interesting to read.

The pet's a nice touch too — fun little thing.

Influence is out!

Influence is out!I made this game alone, and honestly I still can't quite believe it's live :) A few hours before release I was still nudging a banner four pixels up because it bothered me — that's pretty much how the whole thing got built! It's an idle game about running a civilization. You tap, and the world answers — headlines, events, consequences. Every run ends in one of 19 fates, and the one you reach won't come back: the world always pulls toward a fate you haven't seen yet.But honestly? The game exists because of Fjord :)He's a little creature who lives on the edge of your window — not inside the game. He watches your cursor. Poke him and he wobbles like jelly! Drag him onto Chrome, onto your spreadsheet, onto anything you've got open. He taps for you while you work, falls asleep when you're away, and yes — he wears hats!25% off for the first two weeks! If something feels broken or confusing, please tell me! Discussions, or right here under this post. I read absolutely everything and I patch fast. 1.0 is definitely not where this stops!Thank you so much for being here on day one. It really means a lot :)
