Critter Clicker is a stripped-down farming clicker where you gather resources, upgrade animals and buildings, and reset your farm to earn prestige currency for permanent upgrades. The built-in autoclicker removes active grinding, though players note the progression feels thin and early-game prestige gains appear unbalanced. It's free and accessible enough for casual players or children, but lacks the depth or engagement most incremental game veterans expect.

The prestige currency is Gold. Gold is used to upgrade buildings and unlock new ones. The first couple of animal unlocks costs 5 and 15 gold respectively, and tile unlocks start in the tens too.
You can immediately prestige for 500 gold. Then immediately prestige for 500 more. You can accrue thousands of gold in seconds and unlock everything in minutes. There's no way this isn't a bug and it entirely invalidates anything the game was trying to accomplish. It's entirely unplayable because you reach endgame in literally 5 minutes with basically zero effort.
There's no way this isn't a bug. I can see the progression laid out, and it looks like gold gain should be massively lower than it currently is. This game is almost 6 months old. There's no excusing this.
Don't play this. There's tons of fantastic incrementals on steam. This is absolutely not one of them.
Opinion: This feels like a clicker game developed not only for your phone but maybe as a basic intro to clicker games or babies first clicker. There isn't really any depth to it that I can see. It's got a super simple layout and that's about it. On the plus side it's probably safe for children on the minus side there isn't anything to it, not even steam achievements to farm. There are better idle / clicker games to waste your time on.
