Hello everyone!I’ve been sitting on this for a while, so I’m very happy to finally announce that Fakutori is launching on December 16th!Fakutori is all about combining elements to see what happens. You start with earth, water, fire and air, mix them together, then build a factory to automate it all with conveyors, combiners, programmable pushers and more. Some discoveries you’ll see coming, some you won’t...When I started the project, I had a few dozens elements planned. Good number, that. Got a bit carried away and ended up making more than 100 of them. Oops! With a little bit of experimentation, you could craft the concept of time, build a soul factory, or even create a black hole. There are also Legendary Blocks to discover, which can upgrade your entire factory. I won’t say any more than that... Fakutori is a game that's all about discovering surprising new things at every moment; there's a lot of stuff in there, which I'll let you discover at your own pace once the game is out!A HUGE thank you to everyone who played the demo during Next Fest! If you haven’t tried it yet then the demo is still free to play, so have a go and tell me what you think. If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, the most helpful thing you can do is wishlist Fakutori on Steam. Steam will let you know the moment it’s out, and it really does help a solo dev get the game seen. And if you want to share your factories, chat about the game or report a bug, come and say hi on the Discord. Just under seven weeks to go and there’s plenty more to share between now and then. Phew! Thank you so much! Antoine
Hello everyone!I'm excited to let you all know that the brand new Fakutori demo is live, and free to play right now!Experiment with the elements to uncover Shooting Stars, Fizzy Water, Rainbows and more, with over 35 unique materials to find in this new demo.If you're new to Fakutori (where have you been!?) it is all about combining elements to see what happens. You start with earth, water, fire and air, then mix them to discover more and more - some things you'll see coming, some you won't...A lot of feedback from the old demo went straight into this one, so thanks a lot for taking the time to send it. I'd love you to have a proper poke around in this one and tell me what you think!Play the demo nowThere'll be plenty more to share over the next few weeks.Thank you so much!Antoine
Hello everyone!Quite a lot to share today...There's a brand new trailer for the game! Have a watch:This is the best look at Fakutori so far: the elements, the discovery, the factories, and a few things I won't spoil! I'm really proud of how it came together, so I hope you enjoy it.Now, onto the rest of the news…Firstly, Fakutori has found a home. I've teamed up with Mythwright to bring the game to launch, and I couldn't be happier about it! They're the folks behind games like Thronefall, Going Medieval and Scriptorium, so the game's in good hands. Having a team to help me get Fakutori in front of as many people as possible means I can keep doing the bit I love most: making the game.Another big announcement: Fakutori is launching in 2026! No exact date just yet, but it's coming this year, and things are about to get busy. Some of you played the old demo, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you. The feedback you sent was incredibly helpful and a lot of it has gone straight back into the game. I'm now putting together a new and improved demo that shows Fakutori off properly. I'll have more to share on when you can get your hands on it soon. You may have already noticed that the old one has been taken down a while ago, so I can give the next one the polish it deserves. You might also notice the Steam page looks a little different. When I first started showing Fakutori off, I leaned hard into the cosy, relaxing side of things (which is all still true!) But Fakutori has a surprising amount of depth hiding under the surface, and the old page didn't quite show that. So I've reworked the, the trailer, description, key art and the words to show off the automation, the discovery, and just how far the game will take you. Hopefully it gives a truer picture of what you're actually getting into!If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, the single most helpful thing you can do is wishlist Fakutori on Steam. I know everyone says it, but it really does make a difference for a s...
