I'm a Gen One gamer. It was Space Invaders that made me addict for the next 40+ years and counting.
I'm always on the prowl for games that give a nod to the old school.
I got an early copy of Pesky Humans, and it immediately took me back to the good old days of Arcade gaming. With a modern lens, you can see that if Space Invaders, Missile Command and Liberator had a baby, it would be Pesky Humans.
I enjoy that it has the old school challenge as well. This is no epic tale. This is the game you play for that special thrill of arcade, when you have a half hour or so. As such, it is very cathartic. It is exciting and has a high replay value.
I knew this game would be special, as I'm familiar with the previous work of the designer, but this one blew away all my expectations.
If you like the old school challenge, with just a twist of the modern gaming ideas, but want to play something you have not played 100 times before, Pesky Humans is for you.
