The title is honest, and the joke overstays its welcome after a few seconds, but perhaps that's what the player is meant to feel, in the context of this game. We usually think of video games as fun, interactive experiences, but interactivity does not necessarily have to entail enjoyment, as The Most Boring Game Ever shows us with its lack of goals, its single ear-piercing sound effect that plays whenever you increment the number, and monotonous gameplay. The Most Boring Game Ever stretches the definition of what a game is in a meaningful way, I feel, subverting player expectations of what a game should, and shouldn't be. It's also free, and takes only a few seconds to download, so experiencing it for yourself isn't that much of a commitment.
Not Rated/10 - A quirky, free experience that will test your endurance and attention span.
