"Orbit-X" is a bit like Kerbal Space Program from Temu. Although much worse in all respects and with more of a focus on operating all the satellites you throw into orbit. What do you do in the game? This is more like a tycoon game than anything else and you'll spend your time on the economics of the launches as well as sometimes defending your rockets from asteroids, but that's not a huge part of the game. Think spreadsheets, menus, and zero fun. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The graphics aren't great, a few static screens, a lot of bland menus, and a nice graphic of the planet and satellites, but nothing at all remarkable or of decent quality. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $8 USD for this. That's unrealistic. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.

This game is awesome fun to play no matter your interest on space and rockets! it fulfils the need to learn and experiment with different rockets and stratergys to launch rockets into orbit. im not so good at it :) but have had a good laugh trying my best to have a successful satellite internet company. would highly recommend for any space and economy enthusiasts and any gamer looking for a cool, casual and chill space sim!

I love this game, it's new and it's incredibly fun. I just got lost in time for over an hour building satellites and generating substantial income. I'm super excited to see where this game goes in the future and I'll definitely be playing more, definitely recommend!
