Strong entry in the idle genre, reminiscent of Soda Dungeon. Plenty of advancement to look forward to, the growth isn't too fast but doesn't feel too slow, and the devs are quite responsive to feedback.
Full disclosure, I played this game in closed beta, and wound up getting a free copy over the course of multiple feedback cycles. Wasn't expecting that, but IMO this is well worth the cost, and I'd've happily paid for the final copy.

A Brief Review of HyperLeague Heroes
HyperLeague Heroes is terrific fun. I started playing at the end of December. As of this writing, I am about 500 hours in. I picked up the game just before a holiday event ended. The event unlock is still a member of my current team.
The artwork appeals to me, along with the variety of villains, heroes, and monsters you can choose to form your line up. My playtime is predominantly idle but I do go active periodically.
The game has many options that allow you to strengthen your characters and build up your team. Leveling up, upgrading your base, perks, fusions, battle formations, and gearing up feel meaningful; that is, when I make decent choices, I can get some pretty impressive advancements and progress. Well… for me. I am not the greatest player. You won’t find me passing you on the leader-boards or anything.
One last observation—I find it encouraging that the developer consistently revises and updates the game. If you like idle or auto-battle games, I would recommend giving this a go. I certainly have had a blast so far.

Latest updates
I'm excited to announce the newest Siphon Shock project, Blood Moon Massacre. It's a 2D horde shooter where you'll build a fortress, set traps, upgrade, and shoot your way through swarms of bloodthirsty monsters. See if you can survive the night.Though very different from HyperLeague Heroes, I hope you'll check it out! It'll be released in Early Access this year.
HyperLeague Heroes launched just over two years ago. On release it was lacking many features and should have spent much more time in development, but over time, thanks to feedback from players it slowly grew into a much more complete and polished experience. I've grown so much as a developer and although HLH is still not perfect, I've had so much fun working on it and it's been amazing to hear some players say that it's their favorite idle game. With that being said, there are no more major updates planned for HyperLeague Heroes. That's not to say that there won't be any, but player engagement has been stagnant for quite some time. I had hoped that it would increase by adding new enhancements and player-requested features, but that hasn't been the case, and since games cost time and money to create it doesn't make sense to keep going. At least for now. Here are some updates that were planned: Alternate story path where you play from the perspective of one of the Dark Lord's generals, creating an army to defeat the HyperLeague Heroes and Earth's militaries to conquer the planet Doubling the amount of playable units Unit variants A Japanese-themed stage with ninja, samurai, and yokai units A pirate-themed stage As of right now, 7.0 will be the last major update. In case you missed it, gambits were added to allow players to script custom ally behaviors. I'll soon continue work on a project that I began prototyping a little while ago, and I'll use all the knowledge I gained from HLH to make the best game that I can. Thanks again to everyone who played HyperLeague Heroes over the years. Until next time! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41761231/4cd9722536b1af8d1633e3831c624c461ac4f7a4.png
-Added gambits to allow for custom auto-battle behaviors, such as using items and specials, via script Note: Just to reiterate, this is in beta so there will be bugs. Please post any found bugs in the discussions, thanks!
