You manage a medieval physician's practice using period-authentic treatments like bloodletting and alchemy to treat patients through escalating challenges. Success brings rewards and unlocks, but missteps have consequences in this historically-themed management game. It's a niche indie title with solid presentation that appeals to history buffs and those seeking unconventional gameplay mechanics.
About this game
Amputations, bloodletting, alchemy - all of which seem unthinkable today - were the treatment options that medieval doctors revered. You must face challenges one after another and experience gains and losses in the course of your constant adventures

Don't be deceived by the "Languages" field on the store page, this game has English as an option. The quality of the translation is fine but not perfect, with a few typos here or there ("quit geme"), a rare omitted word, some phrasing that could be more natural or less curt but everything is understandable. If you only speak English, your only difficulty will be trying to change the language to English from settings (bottom option, btw.)
This game obviously apes Don't Starve's art style right down to the logo font choice, but it helps a lot to soften the medical atrocities you're performing and otherwise isn't distracting. I was not prepared for the in-game mini-encyclopedia at all, and even as someone with above average morbid knowledge, I learned a few things in the first hour I've played. Aside from that, I also liked the fact the game had a text log, game mechanics hints baked in to selection windows in case you take a break and have forgot, and an option to toggle the sort of animalese characters speak during dialog. The only problem I came across while playing is not knowing how to delete saves which is only troubling because you also have unlimited saves.
A cute affordable game that's definitely playable in early access. Pick it up if you like blood buckets and severing limbs.
Super interesting game, especially the setting! I really enjoyed it personally. I just have a thing for these niche indie games :D The translations are a bit rough around the edges at times though, making it difficult to fully understand certain sentences. (English isn't my native language, so I already struggle with understanding medical lingo.)
This appears to be a port from a Chinese phone game given the portrait orientation. Despite that, it's got good sound, good graphics, and a lot of history packed into its small package. 2 game modes: regular difficulty and story are available.
The game DOES have English translations. I've published a short guide on how to get the English working, since the game starts will all text in Simplified Chinese.
Haven't gotten deep into the game yet and I will return to edit this review once I have.
