If you like puzzle games, or find the hidden object games or just like cats, you definitely can't go wrong with the game, especially since I think the price for the game is extremely fair.

Because residents of the house are on vacation, it's up to you to take care of the cats or look after them.
Easier said than done, as cats are like that, they like to hide and sometimes do something crazy.

In a room including a bathroom on each of the 5 floors (plus the roof) you have to find the hiding cats by clicking and moving the picture.
Except for small and, I think, really few exceptions, the cats are relatively easy to find.

I would therefore describe the game as not particularly difficult. There are definitely other hidden object games where I had to search much longer.

The game offers a total of 72 achievements, most of which you get as the game progresses.
You only have to play through the game a second time for the last achievement if you want the game to be a perfect game in your statistics.

Achievements update:
The developers reduced the 72 achievements to 21.
They also removed the "worst achievement of steam" in doing so.
The reason for this are complaints/petitions about various achievements to which the developer has responded. You can read all of this in Discussions about the game.

In case you can't find a cat, the game offers a one-time help per floor, whereby you should think carefully about when to use this help, depending on how many cats are still missing.
And if nothing works anymore, then there is a very good Guide here, which also explains all the achievements and what exactly you have to do for it.

The menu is simple and clear and there is nothing more than language, full screen, window mode and music or volume and clearing the save (necessary for the last achievement) and more is not necessary in the game either.

Furthermore, the game donates 3 of a total of 6 trading cards. However, the playing time was not enough for me to get all the cards while playing.

I couldn't find any bugs or other errors / problems.

A definite recommendation for those who like to play such games, are looking for a game to relax after a hard day's work, or just want to collect some easy-to-earn achievements.

This is a cute and fun game to play; it can be challenging at times, but still relaxing. I needed a walkthrough to find how to get to certain locations. It's a Devcats made game, Is very well made and I am now a follower.

This is a surprisingly great HOG where our job is to find cats on each floor. Later on the creators added a sublevel (this is just a recent update) and access to the roof is a bit tricky as it is not done via the elevator but we have to use the stairs. Overall, there are 7 levels to clear out.

There are hidden cats and there are even more hidden cats. The latter means you have to interact with various items so that additional cats will appear. The creators added a counter in the upper-left corner so that we can monitor our progress - those hiding in secret places have their special (separate) counter. Each floor has a cat that makes a sound when clicking on him only to reappear elsewhere (on the same level) two more times. Consider this an extra minigame for full achievement completion.

Each floor has its own theme, colour and music (and even introductory message). The game does not belong to the category of difficult HOG games but it is still fun and you'll enjoy it from start to finish. Highly recommended even to those who are not yet familiar with the genre!

Hello, hoomans! ːfofinob2ː Initially, this was going to be a remaster where we would simply redraw the existing artwork and add some details to take advantage of the new resolution. But we felt that would be a little boring, so we decided to recreate the environments with more freedom. Some rooms changed more than others. We tried to preserve the same essence while also adding new things. We also took advantage of the larger environments to add 20+ cats per apartment. Some changes from the original that we made to keep the game up to our current standards:Each room now has its own counter. In the original, the counter was shared between the two rooms.Support for additional screen resolutions, like in our more recent games.The game no longer automatically returns to the title screen after you find all the cats. Now you need to find all the cats and Fofiño. This was something that caused confusion for some players in the original game. Finding Fofiño was almost a secret. As players ourselves, we really value preserving the original experiences. The original A Building Full of Cats will remain available forever. The original game was made in Godot 2, while we now use Godot 4. To avoid any risk of changing the original experience, and to avoid having to rebuild everything while following the original rules, we decided to make both versions available through a launcher. Whenever you click “Play,” Steam will open the launcher, where you can choose between A Building Full of Cats Classic (2022) and A Building Full of Cats Remake (2026). Achievements are shared between both versions, except for the Fofiño adoption achievement, which has its own separate achievement in each version. Yes, there is one new achievement. Hello, hoomans! We’re purring in happiness to finally announce that A Building Full of Cats Remake will be released on September 17th! FOR FREE!!! Our initial plan was to release it on July 7th, to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the original release. (It’s already been 4 years!!!) But after an extremely busy first half of the year due to changes in our plans, we had to postpone the release. Second floor, original and remake. Hello hoomans! We have some exciting news!! We are working on a remake of A Building Full of Cats. This was our very first hidden object game. It was made in low resolution and without some basic features like zoom. It was simple, chaotic, and made with a lot of love. Now we are rebuilding everything in high resolution. Every apartment is being carefully redrawn. Some areas are being reimagined. And yes, we are adding 20 extra cats per apartment. Because there are never enough cats! Do not worry. The original game is very special to us and it is not going anywhere. When you launch the game, you will be able to choose between the original version and the remake. Achievements will be shared between both versions. The update is planned for the next months and it will be completely FREE. Soon, the base price of the game will become 2.99 dollars.
