Street of the Cats

This is the 2nd game of Cintila Games after Cats Everywhere. It's your typical HOG with relaxing music and lots of (300) cats to find. As opposed to the previous game we do not need to return to already-completed levels to find special cats. Every level has its own special pet demanding that we first find an object - this can be a bowl of food, a ball of yarn or a special book in the library. In fact, we need 4 or 5 of these before we can finally click on the "owner".

Once all 4 levels are completed a 5th one becomes accessible with even more cats and this includes the availability of the special kitties again with their unique objects as a returning task. Personally, I liked the levels taking place indoors such as the museum and the library. Some mousers are a tad bit difficult to spot so the zooming function is your best friend. And if all else fails use the hint feature (without any penalty). Sometimes the cat's body literally blends in and you can only fully see it when you have finally clicked on it (thanks to a body part sticking out). Beside the colours they get their appearance becomes more vivid in some cases.

Another excellent hidden & point & click game for cat lovers !

There are five fun levels & scenes for you to find all 300 cats. Some were brilliantly hidden and I had to look very closely as some kitties were blended into a building or in places where I didn't think to even look. If all else failed after a bit, there is the option for the magnifying glass in the top left to guide you by a purple flash when clicked to a hidden cats approx location.

The meow and "cat sounds" the cats make when you find & click them are adorable as well. These sounds are pretty much close to real life as you would expect. Music included with the game is very relaxing and laid back as well.

I enjoyed it and I ultimately recommend ! :3

Gameplay & Features

This game does not have many options to really change. Language selection and audio control are the only offerings. However in game you can hit the settings icon and you will have glare (contrast) controls within the maps themselves.

Wide screens are not supported. If you wish to put your game into windowed mode, put -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 (or a resolution of your choice) under properties in the games Steam library page under launch options and relaunch the game.

* Nice mellow lo-fi soundtrack, very relaxing
* Line art is clean, readable and not visual busy
* Zoom is nice, zooms in close enough to find the smallest kitties
* Game does auto-save your progress
* A special kitty to find in each level (first you need to find a special item to collect them)

Overall Experience

A very affordable kitty seek-and-find game that offers some variety of levels, a nice relaxing soundtrack and easy to earn achievements. The only shortcoming really is the lack of widescreen support but with putting it in windowed mode it is still comfortable to play. The game is not timed so you can relax and take your time and there are no penalties for using the hint button. A great little game for everyone to play, including younger gamers. 😻
