Scribbleman Army is a cave-exploration colony builder where you craft and position various unit types on a grid to harvest resources and construct new facilities. Progression hinges on managing production bottlenecks through unit placement and building upgrades, though the pacing becomes heavily idle-dependent once you advance. The colorful visual design appeals, but expect grind—it's best suited for players who enjoy passive resource management and don't mind extended waiting periods between meaningful upgrades.

kept me busy for 3h, worth 5euro i guess, but not really recommended
how it looks 5/5 - pretty satisfying all the colors and different classes
upgrade progression 2/5 - way too idle style waiting for 1 bottleneck that you cant even click yourself. and upgrading that bottleneck to make that specific building faster will require longer than the actual bottleneck itself......you just have to wait 10-20mins everytime doing nothing
upgrades 2/5 its fun to unlock them, but they all kind of work the same, nothing new is coming, just an extra resource that works in the exact same way but different ingredient. after 2.5 i spend 30 mins pure grinding for the next unlock and all it added was something that produced wool, cant even use wool until next unlock......boring
combat 0/5 so boring i rather skip it, you are never surprised, its just a boss room always in the same location and its just a stat check to see if you have grinded enough yet to go to the next level(which is exactly the same just slightly stronger boss room)
map exploration 0/5 every map is the same size and shape theres literaly only wood/stone/meat to find + always in the same place clicker booster and boss room so nothing new is coming after 3h of play
strategy 1/5 figuring out where to place buildings to farm faster was interesting, but only a 1 time thing after 3h ive unlocked a handfull of buildings with a recipe toggle on/off where you get a tiny management component which is fun but so small, its almost neglectable, just have to switch 1 or 2 off sometimes to not use up all ingredients
Charming little colony management games, based around grid squares. The game gets a bit grindy after a few floors, but I think the foundation is solid. I'd love to see the developed iterate on this idea some more.
