Story of Animal Sprite

This is exactly what it looks like: One of those mobile games.

I've always loved these, but I've entirely given up on trying to play them for two reasons.
1. The map gets really big and messy for such a small phone screen
2. The cash shop tend to be rather predatory.

I've waited a long time for someone to finally port one of these games and I'm extremely happy with this one.
The beautiful bigger PC screen, and no cash shop!

It has been an bug free experience so far, the closest I got to a bug was one of the images of berries got stuck so it looked like I had something in that square when there wasn't anything there. It happened once, and a quick restart fixed it.

Story of Animal Sprite Review

Gather, Combine, Upgrade, Repeat

Story of Animal Sprite is an enjoyable, combination, puzzle game that gets very addicting. Your mission is to save the environment and restore the animals home. To do so you need to combine three objects with each other to make a level 2 object. Combine five objects and you’ll get double the upgraded objects that you get from combining three.
Unlock citizen that can help you obtain resources and expand your world along with unlocking new stores and buildings on the side that helps you gather material and objects.

The Game of The Play

The game starts out with a small area with objects and items that you can combine. When combining three objects or items they will give you one upgraded object or item. In the beginning when reaching a certain level of an object or item, it will unlock inside your journal which will give you a small gift.

You will see boxes of balls. Those balls are spirit balls which contains the spirits of animals. Combine three balls to get an animal citizen. The citizens will be able and help you get recourses faster, but they will become tired after a short while and in need of rest.
Each citizen takes around two minutes to rest up, and depending on how many houses you own, the more or less citizens are able to recover at the same time. Otherwise its only one citizen per time.

The game has different seasons. You can see the season up in the left corner where you can also see how long it lasts and where you can turn off seeds coming with the wind.
Different seasons comes with different seeds in the wind.

The game gets quite addicting for its enjoyable and relaxing gameplay.

Shops & Storage & Material Gathering
Foxie’s
At Foxie’s you can buy seeds, plants, wood, stone, mushrooms and much more but it all depends on the season. Foxie’s store changes from time to time so when you see a good catch, Get it.

Beaver Construction
At Beaver Construction you can purchase level 1 structures. You can buy the wood chopper, the stone chiseler, the lemon press, and the tent.
Its at Beaver Construction you will spend a lot of your resources at. His prices gets higher the more you buy.

Spirit Ball Storage
As the name says, You can storage all your Spirit Balls there and won’t have to have them be laying around and taking up space.
The spirit balls is what you combine to unlock more citizens. The balls have different icons and colors so that you know which ones are able to be combined.

Storage
The Storage unit is for you as storage. You can put high-level foods in there or high-level materials as stone or wood. To save for later if you’re going a bit down under with the materials.
This is so the player doesn’t use up all their space and a handy little dandy thing to have for storing good stuff.

Observatory
The Observatory is used for finding good gathering spots. Send one of your citizens out to explore the lands and send out a gathering team to go and gather all the materials they can find over at the place.

Sea Lion Trade Port
The sea lion trade port allows you to obtain high-level goods from other places. You will have to trade in certain items every time when requesting the shipping boat and it takes ten minutes for the boat to get and deliver the high-level goods.
After buying from the Sea lion trade port it will level up and new goods will be available.

Spirit Tree
The spirit tree is where you can purchase spirit balls and easier combine them into animals if the amount of balls are collected of the same animal. And when upgrading the spirit tree, the player is able to get higher leveled citizens.

Visual & Audio

Visuals
The game has a cute look to it and is supposed to both look and give a cute vibe from it. The visuals and everything looks good and cute but sometimes a villager just pops up for a mare second. Kinda looks like a ghost citizen when it happens, but its some bug that is connected to the option of how many citizens that are outside roaming the unlocked world.
Its mainly just one money that pops up at different locations on the opened area. Other from that, the game looks good and is working well with all the animations.

Audio
Music
The background music in the game is a bit too loud at the start but when lowered down its very relaxing and gives a comfortable vibe along the nature while playing.
The hours will just fly by, and the music will make the player happier, it fits with the cute game style and visual.

My final little thoughts

This game actually got me addicted. When I first started playing it, I felt like I wanted to make more progress and fix one thing. And then that lead to another, and another and as I was making progress I still wanted to make more progress and upgrade everything even more.
I enjoyed the time playing this game and it was so relaxing that the time just flew by as I was sitting there, combining structures and objects into better ones.

Are you 50 or older, like myself? Anticipating menopause, baldness, varicose veins, or saggy everything? Never fear. Story of Animal Sprite will help you cope with the inevitable outcome of aging. Do you like cartoon monkeys, foxes, squirrels, frogs, and so many more adorable creatures? Do you receive satisfaction and elation from clicking repetitively for hours on end? Do you like sorting, organizing, and merging? My answer is yes to all of the above. In three days, I put over 40 hours into this gem. This is a must-have for any granny or grampa gamer!
