An extremely barebones idle game. It's basic to the point where I stuggle to even call it a game. There's only five structures to build, and the entire economy system is just "build power, to build matter, to spend both scouting new tiles, to build power, to build matter"

I really don't see the point of this game.

You have a main building, that can spawn a matter extractor and a solar collector. When you have five buildings you can ascend and upgrade your buildings, and acquire plans for volatiles processor. This makes new building spots. Once you have enough resources you build something.

To which end? I have no clue. I'm done with this 'game'.

Running it Back to the Drawing Board

Hey All, Blog I'll leave this here as a spoiler for those that want to know what's being going in with the dev and the game. Main Blog: Let's get into it. Hi, I'm D, or Phaze if you prefer. I'm currently the only person working at OOMM Interactive. I have game dev friends and contractors who come in and help with different stuff if I don't specialize in it, but for the most part, the games don't happen if I'm not pushing them forward. You may have heard about all the hubbub happening in the games and tech industry. It's a tough time in the tech sector and jobs are hard to come by. That's mostly what's been taking up my time the past few months, looking for work and then doing some dev for myself on the side. As you might imagine, getting rejected, or not even getting replies from places, is tough on one's mental health. I'm lucky at least to have a place to stay, and savings to keep me going a while. I'm not going to go into depth of how I am, but sufficed to say, I'm trying new ways to dev, and diving into the deep end with this whole make a video game company thing. Now on to the show! I'm working on three games at the same time! Hahah...... Ok, a little background. I've been trying new things these past few months, and having multiple projects to switch between works best for me. Originally, I wanted to just stick to EEE and get it done, but that just sorta kept getting bogged down and bloated. I wanted it to just be done, as opposed to focusing on doing it well. A lot of avenues felt closed off, because it would take too long, and some tech debt related to the tech tree made the backend somewhat unstable. That's all gonna change with the new multi project thing. If I don't feel up to working on something I can switch projects. This also has the benefits of letting ideas and design percolate longer, and possibly come up with better solutions. I've currently finished up a game, Castaway Soul. Hello Everyone, Blog Just a quick hotfix for a tech and UI issue. Note: we had some issues with our development environment, and had to restore from backups. Please report is you run into issues with features not working that previously were. Updating to Build 8 - Control

Hello Everyone, Blog A smaller update this time around. Keyboard controls and key bindings have been added to the game, along with an initial version of the Codex. As is, the Codex mostly allows for reviewing any tutorials that have already been completed. This will most likely be the last update for this year. I'm not in the best of states, and need to focus on job hunting on top of that. I will be starting work on a tower defence version of this game, just to work on something somewhat different and hopefully get out of this funk. It will basically be a rework of EEE, so I'll hopefully have something to show before the end of the year. That being said, I'll still be working on the design of EEE. I'm currently trying to design the next stages, which will be having other objects in the orbital view, orbital infrastructure, and how all that will connect together without horribly unbalancing the expedition site layer of the game. TL;DR: Keyboard hotkeys and initial Codex menu added. This is the last update for this year. Starting work on a TD version of the game.
