Tiny Aquarium is a cozy idle fish-breeding sim where your tank generates revenue and grows offline. You hatch and sell fish, decorate your tank, and participate in a social economy by visiting friends' aquariums and completing daily tasks. The game's relaxing progression loop and charming visuals appeal to casual players, though its social quest requirements and resource limits may frustrate those seeking pure solo idle gameplay.
About this game
A happy aquarium that lives at the bottom of your screen! Tiny Aquarium is a social idle simulator that keeps growing, even when offline. Hatch, sell fish, decorate, go fishin’, and visit your friends’ aquariums with bite-sized daily sessions.
What players are saying
Agree with this review 100% so I copied it. Disappointing.
Adorable game, very stimulating and pretty, I love my fishies! buuut, while I do recommend it... I'm not sure I'm a fan of the online implementation.
Buying from and selling to players and hanging out in lobbies is fun, yes, but having to beg for engagement on a discord server so I can complete quests is not something I'm a fan of. I've already sent feedback to the developers asking for these mechanics to be changed, and I hope you guys do too, if this is something that you don't like to see in videogames.
Overall still awesome, I love my fishies.
UPDATE:
It has since been just over a week after I posted my review of this game and I have enjoyed it for another 10 hours.
The devs have made a few tweaks over a couple of patches, and I must say, most of my gripes with the game's social system have been corrected.
For starters, I haven't gotten a single quest to receive reactions from other players for a few days. I assume they've been removed entirely, because I did dozens of quests and not one involved that.
You still get quests that prompt you to visit and react to other players' aquariums, but those are obviously not the severe pain that is actively begging for reactions for yours, not to mention, they added an unlimited reaction type so that you're never limited to how many aquariums you can react to (let it be known the previous limited reaction types still exist and they're, to my knowledge, the only way to obtain the online currency you use to buy other player's fish)
Sooooo, yeah, pretty happy about that! Seems like they listen to feedback and take it quite well. My opinion still stands, awesome game.
