This was an..interesting experience. Feels like money well spent. I'm very curious about the background of this project and its developer.
Imagine, if you will, a sort of 2D David Cage game set in a jumble of Cthulhu mythos, but with absolutely no budget and for some reason made in MS Paint. Was it a stylistic choice ? It looks pretty good at times, but gives off weird flash-game vibes most of the time.
The music is decent, but not very original.
The puzzles seem like they're only meant to waste your time. Thank god I accidentally discovered you can move tiles diagonally in the sliding puzzle because I really don't want to be solving a group theory problem with the bloody rotations..
I don't know if this is some ready engine or if it was made from scratch, but it seems very stable. Comes as a PE32 executable. Presumably made on an PC with an Elbrus CPU in a public library in the middle of the taiga? While there is some minimal jank, and I did have to restart one scene once after seemingly softlocking myself, in general it works way better than expected. It most likely should work on Steam Deck, if you have one of those, because I was running this via proton.
I might be the only person who's bought this game. Give it a shot - it's definitely a better use of time than spending two hours in some soulless AAA title. I think it might do better on itch than on steam, though.
