Number Factory tasks you with automating number generation through upgrades and prestige resets for permanent multipliers. While the core idle loop exists, players report the progression feels glacially slow, the monetization dominates the interface, and the overall experience lacks polish. It may appeal to patient idle enthusiasts tolerating aggressive monetization, but most will find better-designed alternatives.

barely finished design.
what's even more polished than the game is the devolpers urge to get paid due to the shop being the most developed thing in this game.
I love idlers and clickers. This game is missing a lot. Right now it feels like a knocked together project in Unity to exploit whales. The real money purchased boosts being right in your face taking up over half of the screen at all times reeks of desperation. I'll check back at some point to see if things have changed, but as of today it's not worth even sitting on my 2nd monitor.
The math ain't mathin'. Doesn't take long to discover this is the slowest idler I've ever played. Shouldn't take me a day to get 1/6th of the way to one prestige point, especially with AFK mechanics. Your chives are still very imperfect. See you tomorrow, chef.
The Great Bug-Fix Update (v1.4)Factory workers — this one's for you. I went through every bug report, Steam review, and forum thread and squashed a huge pile of issues you've been running into. Almost every fix below came straight from your posts — thank you for taking the time to report them.MAJOR FIXES• Your production no longer collapses after Prestige or Transcend. This was the big one behind "my numbers got ruined" and "I capped at e1850 and now I can't break e900." The Momentum Core bonus was being wiped on reset instead of carrying over — it now retains properly, so resetting no longer tanks your run.• Hard Reset now fully wipes your progress. It was leaving your Generator Generators (and Transcendence progress) behind, which immediately flooded your generators back and made the reset look like it did nothing. A Hard Reset now clears generators, Generator Generators, and Transcendence — while still keeping your Crystals and Achievements.• The Shop no longer gets stuck on "Steam loading," and purchases reliably deliver their rewards. Closing the Steam overlay mid-purchase could cancel reward detection, and there was no recovery if a grant was missed — both fixed, including a startup check that reclaims any purchase that didn't come through.• Achievement progress now saves between sessions. Boosts collected, crystals spent, and prestige upgrades purchased were resetting on reload, so multi-session achievements could only be finished in one sitting. They now persist correctly and never roll backwards.• Fixed achievements unlocking (or being blocked) incorrectly, including "Efficient Idle" and several time-based ones that were secretly measuring the wrong thing.• Premium Crystals are now better protected against loss, plus a save-recovery bug that could overwrite a good save has been fixed.• Several Prestige Tree upgrades that weren't actually doing anything now work — including Cascading Multipliers, Tier Synergy, and Challenge Mastery. If you bought these befor...
It's time to dress up your factory. v1.3 adds Skins — themed UI palettes that retint headers, panels, and the whole game with a subtle color cast. Skins (new tab) A new Skins tab opens a full-screen gallery of 10 themes. Each skin recolors window headers, the skills panel, full-screen overlay backgrounds, and applies a faint global tint so the whole game wears the look. Switch back to Classic Blue any time — the original look is always there as the free default. Free - Classic Blue (default, equipped from the start) - Emerald (free alternate) 100 Crystals - Crimson, Royal, Amber 250 Crystals - Obsidian, Cyan, Rose, Sunset, Slate All purchases and your equipped skin save with your game and survive prestige and hard reset. New promo code Redeem "stylish" for +20 Crystals and +10% Production. Hard Reset is now friendlier Hard Reset has always preserved your Crystals balance and Crystal Boosts, but it was wiping unlocked achievements. That's fixed. Hard Reset now keeps: - Crystals balance - Crystal Boosts (the permanent ones in the upgrades list) - Shop purchases (production and PP gain multipliers) - Owned skins and equipped skin - Unlocked achievements Everything else (numbers, generators, prestige tree, statistics, momentum core, etc.) still resets as before — it's the same fresh-start button, it just doesn't take your trophy case with it. --- As always, thanks for playing — let me know what palettes you'd like to see next.
