Click Click Dig is an idle mining game where you excavate through planetary layers by clicking and purchasing upgrades to increase your dig speed. You'll unlock new diggers and cosmetics as you progress, with prestige mechanics to restart runs for permanent bonuses. The prologue serves as a teaser for the full game, though some players note that animation caps and time-gated core layers limit how quickly upgrades feel impactful.

Unfortunately, for a game of this type where you prestige and upgrade to go ever faster, it has a huge limitation. There is a maximum animation speed to digging, so even when you have + a million % dig power, the first layers will never go faster than 1/sec, NOR can you ever overkill and dig 2, 3,4 layers at a time. Which means you won't see your upgrades have any effect, until you spend an hour digging out all the 1 hit levels.
If final game is anything like this prologue than it do not respects user time at all (what is fun considering how much thousands hours we usually waste idling) Each planet ends with core layer which can only ever be broke by being online So you have to wait for hours for it to break every end of the run (even with maxed upgrades it takes ages) and if you go offline than progress on it stops
really enjoying the game so far but it feels an awful lot like a phone game
why do i think so?
-time gated content - a TON of things that imply this game will be riddled with in app purchases
the game is fantastic but nowadays every single game has FOMO and IAPS everywhere. i am absolutely exhausted that everything has that. i just want a game i can pay to have and be able to enjoy it fully without Ads to SPEND MONEY every single second. i dont want ads, i dont want more predatory sales on my games, im tired. i just want to buy a game and be able to enjoy it at peace
even having the constant hints that it will be a pay to win kinda thing makes me not able to enjoy the prologue for what it is
yes im having a cool and chill time playing it but everything constantly hinting that i will have to pay for everything in the full game makes me feel so stressed. please just make it like cookie clicker and make it pay once to enjoy fully and promise no ads will be shoved in my face while playing it :c
response to dev: i would love to give this a neutral review if i could, but as i said the game constantly implying i will have to pay for a bunch of currencies takes me out enough of the game as to lean more for choosing not recommended for now
- Added accessibility option to 'Reduce Digging Camera Motion' - if enabled, the 'fast' digging transition will always be used, which minimizes camera motion (so you don't need layout mode enabled all the time now if you don't want to!) - Added 'Hold-To-Click Clicks Per Second' to click damage tooltip - Added 'Critical Click Chance' to click damage tooltip - Changed planet shop to show consumables at top of the shop if all upgrades have been purchased, for convenience (so don't have to scroll to the bottom all the time) - Changed label alignment of coins on HUD from left-aligned to right-aligned to match other HUD elements like fossils, diamonds, etc. - It's October, the month of GHOSTS and pumpkin spice lattes - a new code sure would be a spooky good time!
- Improved performance (in general, but also specifically when clicking really fast) - Added animated worm to title screen with a speech bubble mentioning that the main game will be premium/paid - buy it once, play it forever! - Fixed several minor bugs introduced in the last update
- Changed daily rewards to give all rubies and Diggy skins/pickaxes in the first 7 days, instead of the first 15 days (which was way too many days for a demo!) - Reduced ore find time from 2 hours to 1 hour - Reduced Xatrium Bar craft time from 4 hours to 1 hour - Reduced crafting times of all other items as follows: -- items that took 4 hours now take 1 hour -- items that took 12 hours now take 4 hours -- items that took 24 hours now take 8 hours
