Grandpa: Bread Adventure puts a comedic spin on the endless runner formula by casting you as an elderly protagonist navigating city streets while avoiding obstacles, scooter riders, and geese. The game strips the genre down to its basics: sprint, dodge, and survive as long as possible. It's designed for players seeking lighthearted, low-commitment gameplay with a quirky premise.

Warning: AI Slop
This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

"Grandpa: Bread Adventure" is a low quality asset flipped ripoff of Subway Surfer, which you can easily get game templates for on the Unreal Marketplace/FAB. The "developer" of this garbage has supplemented their asset flip with AI slop images, going out of their way to insult gamers with garbage.

This isn't truly free as the developer injected Patreon links into the game and expects you to throw money at them through Patreon... like all disgusting asset flippers, trying to get YOUR money for someone else's game assets and AI slop. Apalling.

What's the game about? This game is a runner simulation. You play as a grandfather who has been sent to the store for bread. The gameplay involves running through a city environment, dodging obstacles such as scooters and geese, and managing health. The character can utilize items found or purchased in the game world.

As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting.

There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

AI Slop deserve only one type of review - negative.

Also it has a really strange and boring game design.
