You're tasked with building a deck to earn your million-dollar freedom, armed only with a hammer and determination. The core loop combines roguelike deck-building mechanics with physical hammer-swinging action, gradually unlocking upgrades that make the grind more enjoyable. It's for players who enjoy idle progression wrapped in absurdist humor and don't mind some janky physics along the way.

i built some beautiful decks, the rogue light elements were annoying but game had a solid foundation.
I'm probably the only person who will write an actual review for this,
At the start of the game it can be very tedious and its very easy to want to give up, but once you start getting upgrades and perfecting your perfects, it becomes so much more fun to just keep hammering nails and getting money.
The physics can be very buggy and sometimes you can hit your hand without even coming close to it, and getting perfects without upgrades is very difficult but achievable if you start high and strike fast.
Overall I love the idea and some parts of the Gameplay, very addicting once you get running. 8/10
TLDR: This game is great! Not perfect by any means but its great and addicting.
Hey everyone, Thanks for joining me for Season 1 of ROGUE LIGHT DECK BUILDER. It's over now and we are all going to enter Season 2 together. Here's what's different: Partial leaderboard wipe. I've patched some unintended exploits that were being used to post very good leaderboard times. In light of this, I'm wiping all leaderboard scores faster than the current verified Freedom% time posted by Quaver127 on Speedrun.com. If you have a legitimate time faster than this, and I delete it, I'm sorry. This seemed like the best solution to me. If this happens to you, please email me footage verifying the legitimacy of your score at goblinamericagame@gmail.com and I'll put an official apology to you in the game. A new nail type. New husband dialogue. Assorted bugfixes. If you would like me to wipe your leaderboard time from last season for any reason, email me at goblinamericagame@gmail.com and tell me your Steam ID. Thank you for playing. I hope everyone is having fun and is going to have a nice weekend. Best, Gil
Yeah, the game had some problems but I've fixed them all now. Here are some of the fixes: Fixed bug where nails would become mysteriously unplaceable. Fixed bug allowing you to place nails before a board had dropped, preventing the game from working correctly. Tweaked values of the ominous nail for reasons I couldn't begin to describe. Normalized hammer behavior across framerates a bit. I still recommend that you don't play the game at capped 30 FPS , because it makes the game much harder. Added some text asking you to please not play the game at capped 30 FPS. Fixed bug that would occasionally cause deck-build time to be added to total run time twice. There are probably some other changes. Well, I hope you're all having fun. If you find problems please let me know. Best, Gil
Hey. New patch. Here's what's changed: Checking for the Deck Builder (platinum) achievement should be working correctly for everyone now. If you have every other achievement unlocked, boot the game and hit "play" in the main menu. The Deck Builder achievement should populate once the game loads. Have added a short "bonk grace period" when you begin hitting a nail. This should help prevent accidental bonks. Nerfed the ominous nail. It was too crazy. Thank you. Hope everyone is having a good time. Best, Gil
