Hihi is a foddian game that's kinda bad. You can soft-lock. You cannot reset to do more run so you would have to erase your data folder. One achievement require to drop the boss to the start and it can also get soft-locked and have to redo it all over again.

It does has online play but it lag a lots. wouldn't really recommend.

HiHi, developed by かくかくしかじか and demiş ünsüz oyun geliştiricisi and published by 2E, is a minimalist 2D platformer that combines precise physics-based mechanics with subtle, contemplative storytelling. Released in late 2024, the game places players in control of a small white square on a mission to reunite with its friends after a fall from its mountain home. While the premise is simple, it provides a surprisingly poignant backdrop for a journey that emphasizes persistence, careful planning, and the satisfaction of mastering challenging gameplay.

The core gameplay revolves around mouse-controlled physics, where players click and drag to set the direction and force of jumps. Success depends on timing, precision, and understanding the environmental mechanics, which include moving platforms, gaps, and other interactive elements. Each jump requires thought and skill, rewarding players who carefully plan their trajectory and adapt to changing circumstances. The escalating difficulty ensures that while initial levels feel accessible, later sequences demand patience, focus, and perseverance, creating moments of both frustration and triumph.

Visually, HiHi adopts a clean, hand-drawn aesthetic that emphasizes simplicity and clarity. The environments are minimalistic yet expressive, with subtle animations that convey a sense of motion and life without overwhelming the player. Soft, muted colors contribute to a calm, reflective atmosphere, making the contrast between the game’s tranquil visuals and its challenging mechanics particularly striking. The design encourages players to focus on the precision of their movements while appreciating the quiet beauty of the world around them.

The audio design complements the visual simplicity, featuring an ambient soundtrack that underscores the contemplative tone of the game. Sound effects provide subtle feedback for jumps and collisions, enhancing the tactile feel of the physics-based controls. The absence of dialogue or overt storytelling allows the music and environmental cues to carry the narrative, creating an emotional resonance that unfolds organically as players progress. This restraint in presentation invites players to interpret the story and themes personally, heightening the sense of immersion.

Replayability in HiHi is built around its physics-driven mechanics and the procedural variation in platform layouts. Each attempt feels slightly different, encouraging repeated playthroughs to perfect jumps and explore alternative paths. While the game’s scope is relatively limited and its core mechanics may feel repetitive over extended sessions, the challenge and satisfaction of mastering precise movement offer a compelling loop for dedicated players.

Overall, HiHi is a thoughtfully designed platformer that balances challenge, simplicity, and emotional depth. Its combination of minimalistic visuals, physics-based gameplay, and reflective atmosphere delivers an experience that is both engaging and meditative. While it may not appeal to those seeking elaborate narratives or fast-paced action, it provides a rewarding journey for players who enjoy mastering intricate mechanics and experiencing storytelling through environmental cues and gameplay rather than words.

One day, Professor Ooz gets tired of being alone, feels trapped, and eventually goes mad. Because of this, he creates a robot girl powered by artificial intelligence: HeHeBot. However, the HeHe government realizes that this AI robot is highly useful. They decide to mass-produce her and use her in heavy labor like mining and even in wars. But when Ooz refuses to hand over his “wife” to the government, the HeHe authorities stage an “accident” and kill him. Still, they praise him as a hero for discovering such advanced technology. This technology leads the HeHe people into an era of prosperity… until that day comes. GamePlay In this universe, we take control of HeHeBot, created by Ooz.
