A straightforward hidden object game tasking you with locating one hundred cats and one hundred rubber chickens scattered across a house. The light, cozy premise offers minimal challenge, making it accessible to casual players seeking a brief, low-stress activity rather than a puzzle that demands careful observation or extended play.

The kitties have taken over. :D

100 hidden Cats: Kitty House 2 is a cozy, cute hidden object game developed and published by FM Simple Games Studio and Sons of Welder. The story is very much on the light side. Basically, 100 cute kitties are in a house, and your job is to help the owner to find them all before they make a mess of the place.

As for the gameplay, you're given one background scene, which is that of the upper and lower floors of the house. You click on the hidden kitties using your left mouse button, and you use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the scene. To thoroughly search every corner of the background, you have to use the arrow keys on your keyboard to do so. 100 Steam achievements are tied to these sweet felines although they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". In addition, a bonus scene is unlocked after you find all of the kitties. Although the background is the same, you have to find hidden rubber chickens. However, no Steam achievements are tied to them, so this additional scene is simply for fun.

Having gone over the story and gameplay, I'll move onto my thoughts. I adore these short HOGs, as they're fun and they tend to be fairly doable to complete. Also, I enjoyed the developer's previous game, 100 hidden Cats: Pirates (please do check out my review of it here), so I was very happy when a review copy was sent, which is totally awesome of the developer. ^^ Even though there isn't much of a story here, the game's heart is its gameplay. I enjoyed searching for all of those cute kitties, seeing them colored in a delightful orange color. I found the gameplay to be pretty easy, especially with the zoom controls. Finding all of the kitties took me around 5 minutes, and as I chose to play the bonus scene, it took me an additional 5 minutes. All of the achievements unlocked for me without any problems. The only minor complaint I'd make is the same one as I mentioned in my review for 100 hidden Cats: Pirates in that there's only full screen mode.

In regards to the art, I love that it's in a lovely, hand drawn style. Even though the backgrounds for both the kitties and rubber chickens are the same, I'd prefer having a hand drawn style, showing that the art was taken with care and passion. Also, I like the use of the orange color when you'd find the kitties or rubber chickens (although in the latter case, it's more of a dark orange color), as it's perfect for the spooky Halloween season. However, you can play this game at any time of the year.

As for the music, there are a few tracks present, and I enjoyed listening to them, as they give off this fun, light-hearted vibe. The tracks are perfect to listen to as you're searching for either of those cute kitties or silly rubber chickens. XD

Overall, would I recommend 100 hidden Cats: Kitty House 2? If you're looking for a fun, short hidden object game where you find kitties (and if you choose to, find rubber chickens), then I totally recommend checking out this game. It's a lot of fun, and even though it's short, I enjoyed it very much.

Finally, I want to give a major thank you to FM Simple Games Studio and Sons of Welder for the review copy. These lovely HOGs are such a pleasure to play, and I hope to see more of them in the future. ^^

All I really expect from a game is that it entertains me.
In a genre that already has so many other games, it's naturally difficult to do something new.
So I'm not expecting a new highlight.
But what's on offer here is really sub-standard.
Difficulty level: 0/Zero (even children will find it harder to tie their shoelaces).
I didn't need to zoom to find them.
After the disappointing main game, there's an additional level...oh, look, the developer saved himself the trouble of creating new graphics for it. Instead, we're looking for rubber chickens in the same picture as before...with just as much difficulty.
There's also a droning sound that almost put me to sleep...(but hey, with less than 10 minutes for both levels, the risk wasn't that great).

Very easy complete in under a few minutes. I always commend people for new game designs but really, there's nothing new here and it's absurdly easy.
