MADE FOR is an episodic series where developer Raikori creates games inspired by content creators. The first episode tasks you with managing a video channel by submitting titles, allocating resources to marketing and editing, and watching earnings and subscriber counts grow through repetition. It's minimal in scope—essentially a streamlined idle experience—and may appeal only to those seeking a creative writing prompt or casual resource management loop.

Hmm.

There may be something to this, in the future. Only episode 1 is out so far,, and that's all I can judge. And as it is... Hmm.

OK. Look. Maybe you are looking for a way to prompt you to do some micro creative writing, an excuse to just throw out little idea after little idea. Then, hey; this can be useful for that purpose.

But, as a game? There's nothing here. You put in a video title, slide some sliders (which, after a bit of experimentation, don't really seem to do anything... Allocate everything to one factor, split it around, balance it evenly, makes no difference), press a button, and then numbers go up. Do this every 20 seconds. Eventually you get to buy "awards" (which theoretically make your "subscribers" go up faster) and subscribe to a "Video Farm" (which I haven't done, but it sounds like it just means the one thing to do in this game, you don't have to do any more?). That's it.

There are occasional pop-up notes with a "plot", but with almost an hour in there doesn't seem to be any way for you to influence that plot, and nor does that plot affect you (except in unlocking those two extra features at specific points).

There's also a lack of any Settings, which is a shame given the extremely loud music constantly playing in the background. Hope you know how to find your system volume mixer!

I like the aesthetic here, and the devs clearly have a plan and a focus. But ultimately, the enjoyment I got out of this was solely in coming up with silly titles for theoretical videos, and I don't need this game for that.

As it is, I can't recommend this, there's just not much here. But I honestly hope the devs don't get disheartened; I do see a future where the package that this will be a small part of can be recommended in it's whole, and even this part isn't necessarily too far from being compelling by itself. Give us a couple more levers to pull, a few more uses for the money we're getting (PC upgrades? Room aesthetics?), and a lot more feedback on how the specific choices we're making (funding allocation) have an impact, assuming there is one. You could have something here.

I'm sorry this review is negative, but I wish you the best!

Really fun game so far. It's a simple game but I can def see myself playing it more. Can't wait to see what this studio does next.

No.
My Antivirus acted up as soon as I started the game.. which is a promising feature.

One or two minutes of playtime.. you "upload videos" (titles), choose their marketing, editing and rescource values and how much ingame currency you wanna spend per "video". Then watch your money and sub count rise.. and then repeat.

About as interesting as watching grass grow in real time.
