Holiday cheer, ultra-light edition
Snowy streets, jingling vibes, and a whole lot of cats pretending to be decorations. This festive hidden cat game is short, sweet, and very much about vibes over challenge. You get 5 levels, each filled with 100–105 cats, and you’ll blink and be done… then blink again because the speedrun achievements ask you to do it all twice if you missed them.
The art is simple but super cute, perfectly on theme for the holidays, and the cozy mood does most of the job here. Sound sliders are included, controllers get vibration support, and you can choose between a relaxed mode or a timed one if you’re feeling spicy. Hints recharge every 30 seconds, don’t mess with achievements (mostly) because you only need to clear a single level hint-free for 100%, which is very chill.
That said, it’s tiny. Really tiny. One full run took me 19 minutes, and going back to grab all achievements bumped it to about 32 thanks to mandatory speedrun achievements for every level. There’s also no save system mid-level, so quitting means restarting, and the zoom feels a bit inconsistent from one map to the next. The forced tutorial is a bit annoying too, especially since you’re required to use a hint because some cats are hidden behind the on-screen instructions no matter how much you zoom. And with the lack of brightness options, it really adds up.
Still, as a quick festive experience, it does the job. It’s cheerful, harmless, and very good at flipping the “holiday mode” switch in your brain. More worthwhile to grab if it's on a heavy discount.
If you’re in the mood for more snowy cat-hunting, Hidden Cats in Christmas and Hidden Winter Things offer a similar cozy sparkle with a bit more content for your buck.
