Desktop Fishing is a cozy idle game that sits in the corner of your screen. Go about your usual desk work (or don't) while your frog buddy catches fish, discovers new outfits, and unlocks fishing spots.

I love it, the little guy just fishes away while I work, but I wish I could flip and resize the frog so it'd hang on the left side of my monitor instead, and also maybe a setting so the frog doesn't wait for input when catching fishies of certain rarities, as well as huges/shinies/holos.
Had 160 hours in the Demo. I must say for me the best Desktop Game i've seen. Not very intrusive and distracting but still scratches the Itch of "Uhh nice Shiny" from time to time.
was good and fun untill, iv had my guy restart on me 3 times now after i have gotten soo much stuff and Progressed. i close the game properly and all and yet still restarts every few days.... this is annoying asf...
Achievement hunters, first things first: Don’t worry - all achievements you’ve already unlocked will stay exactly as they are, even if you don’t jump back in.Dear community, Between semesters, we found a bit of free time - and since many of you are still enjoying Desktop Fishing daily, we couldn’t resist adding some new fish to the game.As of today, 10 new fish have joined the pond! Each biome now features two additional species, complete with their own flavor texts and little details to discover. We hope you have as much fun with them as we did coming up with their ideas! And as mentioned before: you keep your previously achieved achievements (catching all fish etc.), so don't worry about that :)We’ve also bigtime-updated our story-adventure Frog Holm to version 1.1 . Check out our bundle - especially since it’s currently at its biggest sale yet! Now for the slightly scary part (on our side): Our entire team is about to start writing our master’s theses, so there are no further updates planned for the time being..Wish us luck. We’ll need it.Love, Ostend Games
Hello dear Desktop Fishing community, you left us a lot of feedback under the last update - thank you for that, we really appreciate it!Also over the past months, we’ve repeatedly received feedback about the achievements being extremely hard to obtain. We want to address that now.We completely understand that the chances for the final achievements were too harsh. When we last adjusted them, we still held on to the idea of “this should be super grindy so it feels prestigious to catch the rarest fish.” What we underestimated, however, is that many players are still playing Desktop Fishing simply to complete the achievements and then move on - which is totally fair. So, long story short:The last two achievements are now achievable in around 200 hours on average. Of course, depending on luck, it may take a bit less or more. The catch X Amount of fish achievements also have been nerfed.Idle Mode ChangesWe’ve also made a change that will likely be especially interesting for new players:You can now access the full idle mode (incuding not stopping on new fish) from the very beginningThere is no rank requirement anymoreThese mechanics were originally designed to extend Desktop Fishing over time with more content and a broader variety of fish and features. Unfortunately, continuing that approach is no longer possible for us.We know this update comes late. The past six months have been quite turbulent for us. We released our second game, Frog Holm, which was on a completely different scale compared to Desktop Fishing. If you’re interested, feel free to check out Frog Holm - it’s currently on sale until April 2nd and even cheaper if you already own Desktop Fishing.TL;DR Desktop fishing is not that deep 🕊️ Everything easier to obtainribbitOstend Games
