Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"怪物联萌-巨龙守护者" (aka "Monster Lone Moe-Giant Dragon Guardian") is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. This garbage mobile app is so badly ported the Chinese developers didn't bother even stretching the 9:16 mobile phone aspect ratio for the game. Note that the "gameplay" videos on the store page don't actually show any gameplay, it's just an ultra simple 2D mobile app where it looks like you're playing a card based RPG/battler thing.... weirdly, the developer forgot to make this a Three Kingdoms era themed game, which is mandatory for all games under the CCP. Whatever you do, don't mention Tiananmen Square. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. There's no English translation for the this, but that's okay. The language of bad products is universal. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 15 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Definitely not... this is just an unethical cash grab. Avoid at all costs.
