Idle Awakening: Mages Path
by Strange Matter Gaming
Media
Idle Awakening: Mages Path tasks you with ascending from a novice spellcaster by unlocking skills through an expansive progression tree, automating resource gathering, and crafting items offline. While the game excels at quality-of-life features that minimize busywork, progression becomes uneven past the early hours, and the industrial grind overshadows the promised magical theme. Best suited for players who prioritize streamlined automation over narrative or sustained momentum.
About this game
Embark on a journey of a fledgling mage. Start with nothing. Improve yourself, develop your skills through a vast tree, unlock upgrades, learn spells, gather resources, and craft unique items. Your progress never stops – it continues even while you're offline.
What players are saying
Lists with multiple actions and their efforts to avoid going back and forth activating actions.
List automations to avoid going back and forth to gain certain resources.
Very great features which makes the game feel like a puzzle rather than a grind.
This is all true until you reach crafting, at that point the balance completely breaks and you have to wait hours with 4x speed to unlock a minor thing that does not make the game progress faster or unlocks an actual new layer of content, just pure waiting and see numbers going up by a small percentage.
I really hope the balance gets fixed soon, currently it is unfortunately tedious and unplayable after a bit.
