I hate the fact I'm marking this as no for recommending it, i really do hate to do it. I love horror games set in snowy/cold environments, This one is no acceptation, But I have a few things that overall made the game experience worse.
First and foremost, the animations. My lord they are stiff. I'm talking looks like an action figure kinda stiff. Which could work if it was a lower poly PS1 sorta looking game, But this tries to go for a more realistic look overall.
Secondly, the "story" if you could call it much of one. I can get behind a game with little to no story if it's got a fun game play loop. This is just walking simulator with a few notes and a picture, and next to no explanation for much of anything.
Thirdly, The game play in general is overall boring. You use E to do just about anything and everything. Even climb up a ladder, or rope. You have to hit E at set times to climb higher up.
Fourth, the "scares" are cheap and very much just made with the mindset of "loud and sudden is scary", which it is for a brief moment. It's not an earned scare that builds up to it, and slowly dissipates, It's quick in your face and quickly leaves. Nothing too scary about it. Just more of a sad scare than anything.
And lastly, it just felt rushed by the end. Like they were throwing stuff at the wall and hoping it stuck, and couldn't think of a proper way to end it. It didn't feel satisfying at all to "defeat" the monster when the monster wasn't much of a threat to begin with.
I'm typing this with the idea that the developer is just a single guy trying to get his foot in the door to making games, And I really don't want to be un-encouraging, By any means, Game development is absolutely a hard thing to do. But overall it needs more to it. More of a story, Better animations, Less crappy jump scares, It really does seem like there was potential for an actually creepy game with an unnerving story and atmosphere, But just fell short in general. I would normally refund a game like this, But I want to support the developer, and it was less than 3 dollars (at the time of writing this) anyways.
I really do hope you take this feedback and use it to try and improve your future projects, But for now I really can't recommend someone buying this at all.
