Fantasy vibes powered entirely by round creatures
A cozy little hunt where chubby, cartoony, very recognizable cats are tucked into richly detailed fantasy scenes, clearly made by someone who loves drawing round creatures doing nothing productive. You get 4 main maps, some of them splitting into smaller sub-areas, and each one contains 50 to 100 cats to uncover, which makes the short total 28 min playtime feel nicely dense. The art is the real star here: every scene is busy and full of tiny details that make scanning the screen fun rather than tiring. Zoom works well, the save system is reliable, and once a map is cleared, the image fully colors itself, which is always a satisfying little reward.
There is a hint system, but it takes a long time to recharge and straight-up gives away the answer, so it’s more of an emergency button than a gentle nudge. Thankfully, hints aren’t tied to achievements, and the achievement list stays clean, clear, and totally reasonable. The fantasy vibe is lovely, and I even appreciated the seasonal touch with a festive menu despite this not being a Christmas game. Music does loop noticeably, but it’s easy to mute if it starts getting repetitive. A brightness option would’ve been nice, and a few cats are hidden inside objects, which can turn parts of the game into a bit of a click parade, especially windows in the final large scene. One specific cat is so well hidden that, without a hint, it feels basically impossible to find due to zero visual cues (the cat in the bushes in the second level).
The biggest hesitation comes from the price. For the amount of content, it’s on the expensive side compared to similar hidden cat games and doesn’t introduce a big new mechanic to justify it. That said, the art style did most of the convincing for me, and if cute, chunky cats in a fantasy setting are your weakness, this one is still easy to enjoy despite a few quirks.
