You and your cat are stranded across time, visiting ancient Egypt, Rome, medieval kingdoms, and pirate ships in search of lost felines. The core loop involves exploring each historical setting to find hidden cats—some allies, some obstacles—while collecting clues and solving time-based challenges. The hidden object mechanic forms the backbone of progression, though some players find the hint system and cat placement frustrating rather than satisfying.

Highlights

🔹 Different types of cats to uncover
🔹 Two game modes (story and arcade mode (timed)
🔹 Collect different cats across 8 locations
🔹 Find hidden artifacts that unlock mini games
🔹 Upgrade your tools to find hard-to-find kitties
🔹 Different locations (unlock as you play through the story)
🔹 Hints available every 30 seconds
🔹 You can hide the hud to search for kitties

This game has a really cute narrative, told through cartoon panels. Areas will colour in as you complete them and for the most part the simple cats are pretty easy to find as the maps are static (the secret ones are more challenging as you have to look around for footprints). I love the different locations and the collectable aspect to the game (complete with a collection gallery on the main menu to keep track of the cats you’ve found). 🐈

* Some achievements did not pop for me until I closed and restarted the game (600 cats found, Purr-fect Detective and Cat-ch Them All)

I wish there was a neutral review option. I can see the base game is good and has some nice content, but the hidden cats mechanic is clunky and poorly implemented in my opinion. That keeps it from getting a better review.

The game could be fun. Only the hidden cats ... if you like looking for the smallest hints ... and sometimes even these hints are not there so clicking on everything in the hope to find a hidden cat is your thing....
The stupidest thing I've experienced in a game so far is this hint system that tells you to look for the hidden cats yourself.
