Widle lets you nurture a miniature plant on your desktop, accumulating coins passively as it grows to gradually unlock new species and decorative pots. The minimal interaction model—checking in occasionally to tend your virtual garden—appeals to players seeking a low-stress companion game that rewards patience without demanding constant attention.

Thank You for Checking Out the Demo!

Thank you so much to everyone who checked out the demo and added Widle to their wishlist. It genuinely means a lot to me, especially as a solo developer working on this in my spare time. These past few days I've been focused on cleaning up the demo and optimizing the game for full release, making sure everything runs smoothly and feels polished before it gets into more hands.I'm also continuing to expand the range of items in the game, adding new electronics, animals, and foods for you to discover and collect. Once I get everything designed and added, my plan is to start bringing these items to life with animations. From there, I'm hoping to move into things like floor items, different lighting options for items, and maybe even more beyond that. For now though, it's steady chugging away at the art. I'm not a trained pixel artist, I actually just started learning pixel art while making this game, and since it's just me working on this whole project, I'm taking my time and making the best of what I can.I hope you enjoy what's coming!

Big Lessons, and Demo Progress

Hey everyone,Just wanted to give a real update on where things have been with Widle.Honestly... I kind of messed up.As the game started getting bigger, I realized some of the systems I built early on just were not going to scale the way I needed them to. I could have kept piling stuff on top and hoped for the best, but I knew that would just create bigger problems later, so I made the call to step back and rework some pretty major parts of the game.It definitely slowed things down, and life outside of development has been busy too, but I think I am finally making some progress.Over the last little while I have been:• Reworking major backend systems • Rebuilding the shop and inventory so things feel smoother and easier to use • Removing extra menus and layers • Updating prices and balancing the game economy • Cleaning up older systems as the game growsWidle is finally starting to feel like the game I had in my head from the beginning. If all keeps going to plan, I am hoping to get a playable demo into your hands within the next few weeks.Really appreciate everyone following along and being patient.
