More content, features, polish, and improvements are still being worked on.I’m excited to finally let people try it out, please if you want give me your feedback and things you would like to see in game. Thanks for following along so far. I hope you enjoy it.

Big Lessons, and Demo Progress

Hey everyone,Just wanted to give a real update on where things have been with Widle.Honestly... I kind of messed up.As the game started getting bigger, I realized some of the systems I built early on just were not going to scale the way I needed them to. I could have kept piling stuff on top and hoped for the best, but I knew that would just create bigger problems later, so I made the call to step back and rework some pretty major parts of the game.It definitely slowed things down, and life outside of development has been busy too, but I think I am finally making some progress.Over the last little while I have been:• Reworking major backend systems • Rebuilding the shop and inventory so things feel smoother and easier to use • Removing extra menus and layers • Updating prices and balancing the game economy • Cleaning up older systems as the game growsWidle is finally starting to feel like the game I had in my head from the beginning. If all keeps going to plan, I am hoping to get a playable demo into your hands within the next few weeks.Really appreciate everyone following along and being patient.

Small Progress Update

Just wanted to share what I’ve been up to for the past two weeks. I spent my free time cleaning up the game logic I had sketched out so planting and growth now work more reliably. I also wrapped up all the basic sprites I needed, plant stages, soil textures and UI icons, and fixed those sprite size mix ups that made everything grow the wrong way.Next on my list is adding menu buttons for planting and upgrades, wiring in music tracks to set the mood and building a settings menu so you can tweak volume and controls. Since I’m creating every sprite myself, every menu, every button, basically everything you see on screen, it takes time as I’m still learning, but I’m making steady progress one task at a time.I also need to learn how to animate plant growth, watering and other functions so the game feels more alive but the more I sit here and think the more I can add to my list so, one thing at a time.I've been keept busy, but momentum is good. I’ll share screenshots of the cleaned up logic and a short clip of the sprite transitions once they look right in another update. If you have any questions or ideas, please let me know and I’m genuinely excited to talk through the process. Thanks for following along, stay tuned for more updates and let me know what you think!- Grey
